This is my first time doing my own mock draft and this draft is probably going to be the most important draft this franchise has had in years. With as many quality picks as we have and good opportunities for good players, this can turn a 3-4 year rebuild into a possible 2 year rebuild.

The First Overall Pick: DT Glenn Dorsey

This will most likely be the pick. Keitth Traylor is likely to retire and I dont see miami getting Albert Haynesworth in F/A. He is a great player and plays in the SEC. My only concern with him is his injuries. He has had a great year at LSU. If I were the GM and I had this pick, I would trade down a few spots in the draft for more picks and get JL from Ohio State. Parcells likes the fast, physical linebackers so this would be a great pick. But i think we see Dorsey holding the fins jersey instead.

    Second Round

    First Pick: LB J Leman

This would be a great replacement to ZT since his future is uncertain. Channing Crowder is a good young linebacker for Miami, but he is not a leader like Zach. I watched Leman play Ohio State and he was a sure standout. This is the perfect opportunity to snag a future stud at linebacker. If not J Leman, I see a CB drafted.

    Second Pick: TE Martin Rucker

He plays in the Missouri offense and was a big contributor to Chase Daniels' success. He is an excellent reciever and is a sure catch when thrown to. David Martin has been awful for Miami all year and It was so hard to watch. Too many dropped balls, but Rucker would be a great asset to Beck. A young QB's best friend is his tight end as they say. Another possibility at this pick is Ingram the TE from UF. Not sure what round he is projected at but I heard he was coming out as a junior. Great speed and excellent possession and playmaking skills.

personally i don't really like it, not to mention rucker should be switched with Leman, rucker won't fall taht far and it's likely leman will fall further.

I wouldn't mind Lehman, but we can get him a lot later in the draft. I'd rather a CB or S at #32.

I also think it would be nice getting a LB to replace Zach, but I think we need a CB or two before we need a LB. We are getting killed on deep passes, and Zach may still be around for a year or two....we can always bring in a decent LB through FA easier than getting a top CB. I do like Rucker and I like Dorsey or Little Howie Long.
