Iggy had to start. They also needed to double LeBron and play zone like the Mavs did in the 2011 Finals and it worked like a charm again. If he hits jumpshots or his teammates do, you're screwed anyway.

LOL. How the hell would I know that?

Me: "Yeah, hello, this is Alfredo from Sportsbang, I would like to put in a request for 5 minutes with Commissioner Silver."

PR Director: "May I ask the line of questioning?"

Me: "Yes, I would like his opinion on LeBron James **** being shown to 18 million viewers on Thursday night."

PR Director: "The Commissioner is in the process of interviewing LeBron's **** and has no comment at this time."

Doubling him and zone defense in the paint. Force him to pass and take jumpshots.

I love pre draft video. I just saw a video on draft express that had Willie Cauley-Stein shooting in what looked like a high school gym looking like steph curry splashing 3's. Am I to believe a guy who barely took jumpers all year just splashed like 40 straight jump shots spotting up and off the dribble? Seriously?

If the Knicks stay at 4 (I think they will unless Sacramento offers them cousins) I don't want anything to do with WCS.

I'm not saying he will be Chris Bosh offensively, but Kentucky was so loaded, they weren't asking him to take a ton of jump shots. Similarly, Booker wasn't asked to do much more than a 3pt shooter. There could be more there with both guys. I have read that WCS's jumper has looked good in workouts. If he really does have that in the arsenal, along with elite, elite defense, he could be a very good player. I agree, I wouldn't take him at 4, though.

It's misinformation season. Don't believe everything you read. If you haven't seen it at the college level the likelihood it exists at a pro ready level, is slim imo.

IMO, Aldridge ends up on Cleveland after/if Love leaves. Otherwise he stays put or Dallas.

Id bet on the Knicks getting Greg Monroe at like 14M or so. I really want Patrick Beverly at PG. I think hes an ideal triangle PG. Id love to nab Russell at 4 and use him at SG

Guys guys guys, listen, okay, now that I have everyone's undivided attention, check this out.

I believe the Warriors are connected to the Blackhawks and the Cavs are connected to the Lightning.

    Game one: Blackhawks win
    Game one: Warriors win
    Game two: Lightning win
    Game two: Cavs win
    Game three: Lightning win
    Game three: Cavs win
    Game four: Blackhawks win
    Game four: Warriors win

Am I a nut job? Probably but the evidence is right there. The Blackhawks determines Lebron's fate since NHL is a day before the NBA has it's game. I rest my case.

The Cavaliers don't have the cap space to get Aldridge, he's unrestricted and Portland can't do a sign and trade for his bird rights. Just between Varejao (9 million), Kyrie (15), Lebron (21.5) and Mozgov (4.9), the Cavaliers are at 49 million. Then you have to re-sign Tristan (he's going to ask for something like 5 years 90 million), and that already puts them at about the projected cap of 66 million. And that's not counting Kevin Love but since they have his bird rights they can sign him at max, so let's say he gets 18 million his first year, that puts them at 84 million between 6 players..

Iman Shumper and JR Smith will be weighing in their player option/qualifying offers as well. Iman with a 4 million QO, JR Smith with about 7 million player option... Let's say they opt in, Iman signs the QO... That's 95 million.... Is my number off somewhere? Jesus..

it's a good thing for Cavaliers' fans that Dan Gilbert has reasons to keep the core in place, since he basically has a lot of business in Cleveland apparently and his team doing good helps it. Because if it was any other owner, there's no way in hell a team in Cleveland Ohio will be able to keep those salaries in a low market city. Hell not even Mark Cuban was able to keep his championship team in 2010, and he's in a high market city. He had about 80 something million in player salaries and they got their championship and split.

I'm typing all of this and I still can't believe the amount of projected salaries in Cleveland for next season. I mean this isn't the Lakers, it's freaking Cleveland...

Remember that Lebron is a union man and he doesn't believe in paycuts. Also Tristan Thompson agent is Rich Paul. So Gilbert knows not to piss off Lebron. Tristan is going to get paid. After next season when Gilbert has to re-sign Lebron and Mozgov, that's going to be interesting. We're going to see a team in Ohio paying about 120 million or higher in player salaries per season.

These teams profit enough to cover the entire salary cap, this isn't baseball.

Yes they do. But they don;t profit enough to pay the luxury taxes. Only the Lakers and Knicks really can.

I didnt even calculate the luxury taxes lol that should be interesting to see if Gilbert does keep them all. Lebron is a pure through and through union man if someone gets ousted that he likes he gets offended by it. We will see soon enough how much Gilbert is willing to spend on pkayer salaries for Cleveland.

I think a team might be willing to pay it for a year in the hopes that the cap goes up significantly. If I were the Cavs owner I'd be willing to lose a bit next year if I knew the cap would go up enough to cover me after that.

It won't go up 60 million lol I mean in 2017 it will likely reach 80 million, but do I think the cap will ever reach 120 million? Not in the next 15 years..

This game is being called so pro Cleveland it's astonishing. Though for Mark Jackson and Van Gundy Cleveland commits not fouls and they get fouled non-stop. Oh how the narrative changed for LeBron.
