The McDonald's thread got me hungry... Anyone here ever have Chipotle? Its a Mexican Grill, they have the best burritos... Its my favorite place to eat when im in college, probably because its right near the school... I wish they had one here in NY where i live but the closest one to me is in the city at the Empire State building. If you never had it before i recomend trying it
I refuse to eat at Chipotle. Nothing against that type of food, its quite good. But Im not paying $7 for a Burrito when I can get one at Taco Bell for 99 cents. I feel the same way about Panera Bread. I can buy Boars Head meat at Publix and make better sandwiches for wayyy less. These types of restaurants are taking the Starbucks approach to business. Sell a product similar to others, but charge A LOT more money so people think its better.
ill be honest....im happy with publix brand meat on my pub-sub....and its cheaper!!! Publix Subs FTW!!!!! Harris Teeter subs suck the big one up here compared to them....
o i dont blame you...the Chipotle in the city was way over priced...the one in vegas is not bad... 5$ for a burrito and a free soda, they give free drinks to students...
Taco Bell food isnt worth 99 cents, dont know about Chipotle. I get mine from a local shop called Taco Tierra, Chicken Sancho Supreme
I love Chipotle, but I find myself only going for it when I'm super-hungry and can eat the whole thing. I usually go straight for a traditional burrito - my absolute favorite is probably the barbacoa with the hot salsa, although I also like the carnitas with the spicy salsa. On an related note, and ironic to the first post, Chipotle is actually a subsidiary of McDonalds. Nothing stranger than driving by Chipotle at night and you see the Mickey D's semi delivery truck parked out back.
actually, the only chipolte I have been too was in midtown somewhere around Lexington and the low 50's (forgte actually where), but they were horrible!!! And you would think the mexicans that worked there could make good mexican food.
I have to restrict my Chipotle meals to once a week, it is expensive but it is quality. We have Moes and Baja Fresh here. I like them too. But their food isn't half as good Chipotle. Nothing against Taco Bell, but they are to Mexican food what Pizza Hut is to Italian.
I disagree... The Moes in Syracuse was so much better and far less expensive than the Chipotle in the city
They just opened one around here. Gave a free burrito in opening week. Afterwards, not that many people go there anymore.
I find it VERY interesting. The only "Mexican" resturaunt I have ever seen is Taco Bell (Dont go off one me Q, I am very aware it is far from Mexican food) Must be that I live so far away from Mexico (55 miles) they dont bother with Chipotle, Moes or whatever else has been proposed..
chipotle is ok if you have no smaller mom & pop burrito shop around. in texas we had thunderbirds and BYOB (build your own burrito)... both used better ingredients and gave you more variety, and were similarly priced for much higher quality. chipotle's saving grace is that it is in locations that don't have the smaller joints i mentioned above.
Ha, I know.. thats why I mentioned the city compared to syracuse.. To more biasedly make my point look better
Chipotle has the best burritos down here. I think they are opening one up in Williamsburg right next to my school too, hope that's true.
