Not so fast my friend. How about letting Baker see if he can do it. He looks to have the power bat we are looking for. Why give up prospects for an old washed up guy, when you have a power hitter right there in front of you ?

Wow really had a bad feeling in the top of the 11th. Error and I guy who was like 3-39 gets a hit. Than a passed ball (or wild pitch don't know what they ruled it). However we got out of the jam and ended up walking off. Great game!

Thats been the Braves all year. Shut someone out then get shutout the very next night. Ricky Nolasco has been Atlanta's personal BP pitcher in 2 starts this season. Not that that means anything...

I agree. It also buries the Braves 8 behind us. If I can't win the division, or the Wild Card I want to finish ahead of the Braves just once. We have played for 16 seasons, and despite winning two WS we still have never finished ahead of them.

    I hate the Braves :tantrum:

Well its the Marlins and Vaden Hurk just lost it out there. He got rattled and never seemed to calm down. You can't blame the bullpen who did a great job in the series. Would have like to take 3 tho.

Big series is with the Mets. We have to win these games. Nolasco really needs a great performance v.s. John Maine

How do you lose a game when you have a 9 run lead ? The Marlins managed that one in Colorado. But 2-2 in Chicago when they are red hot is good. We HAVE to win 2 against the Mutts......HAVE TOO ! :tantrum:

awesome win!!! I think nolascos performance will be over looked from tonight....he kept a very hot mets team in the ball park with only 2 runs....he quietly had a great game....i think 8 strike outs....

great win.....need a sweep!! get on a winning streak

Good job by the team tonight. It always bothers me that home games against the Mets are practically away games with all the transplants in the crowd.

It comes from so many factors but I truly think some people will not root for the Marlins for the very fact they are not sure they will be here for very long. If the stadium is built, and the franchise's future is secured, you will see a many of those rooting for the Mets, Cubs, Yankees, RedSox come over, or at least their kids will in time.

Due to things such as MLB Extra Inninngs its easier to remain a fan of another team, and live in a separate city than it used to be. Look at this site we are posting at. How many of the folks who post on this site would be DolFans and living in far reaches of the country, unless they had access to the internet ?

Yeah I watched a game in New Jersey too! Oh wait you were sitting right next to me the whole game. :hi5:

It was great making fun of all the Jet fans tho. I remember in the game the guys behind us were talking about the Mets score and the Marlins were winning. Of course right as we were gunna say something some guy yells "Delgado just homered and we took the lead". Dang!!!! :pity:

And the Yankees just pull off a great trade - get Pudge for Farsworth, straight up. :tantrum: I F***ING HATE THE YANKEES.

Meanwhile Marlins management gives us Arthur Rhodes (we think - it still hasn't been done) :tantrum: :pity: We could have made a better trade than Farnsworth with all the arms we have. This just makes me sick.

According to SI Fannation, yeah. FSN's Ken Rosenthal has a piece on it.

I don't like the idea of giving up Willingham or Hermida for a half-season rental of a Bahstahn reject. If we want to add to our collection of former Bahstahn players with the last name of Ramirez, then at least keep him for a couple of years.

The Dodgers and Phillies are in the running for him. I'd rather he go to LA, simply because Philthy is willing to pay him beyond this year.
