I keep seeing people praising him so he must be impacting games - but he's shooting 38% from the field and 33% from 3. Doesn't seem like he's playing all that great.
Damn Bulls perennial possers. You start to trust them a little bit and they crap all over you. This must be how people felt all those years when they pinned their hopes on the Bulls and Pacers to dethrone the Heat only to get ****ted on later.
pretty sure that means his season is over. Its not just recovering from thevsurgery, there is also an extended rehab for it. Congrats to the Spurs/GSW ... As far as the Bulls goes, i just get the feeling there will be a game 7..
Cleveland should still make the Finals. They still have the best two players left in the East. Atlanta and Chicago at full strength haven't looked that great. Washington is probably the 2nd best team in the east right now. I just hope that if the Cavs don't make the Finals they are pillories as the Heat would have been, but I'm sure the World Wide Leader already has the excuse machine ramped up for the Homecoming King.
I think the Wizards still give them a good fight.. Lebron and Kyrie will be enough though but it will be a 6-7 game series.
With him heading into Free Agency I doubt he plays again this year. I doubt he signs long term with the Cavs too.....
It's going to be interesting. A lot in play. Highly doubt he leaves this offseason as he'd be skipping the big cap jumps of the next 2 years as well as losing his Bird Rights. This tweet shows the different scenarios - https://twitter.com/WFNYJacob/status/593102754127552512 To put it in perspective - it makes the most sense for him to opt-out, sign a 2 yr extension w a 1 yr opt-out and then sign a full max in 2017. If he stays with Cavs, he'd earn $216.9 million over the next 7 years. To leave he'd earn $171.9 over the next 6 years. Only reason I could see him signing long-term now is that he's been injury prone his entire career and just suffered a major injury. But if he wanted to sign long-term now because of injury concerns, he'd also likely want the full 5-year max the Cavs could offer. All of the "body language!" stuff was pretty overblown at the end of the year. He and LeBron were goofing off together a ton and the Cavs were pretty dominant. So I'm not so sure he's dying to get out. Maybe he wants to go play with Westbrook in 2016 - but that's only reason I could really see him leaving. Especially when you consider the money he'd have to be giving up. I guess Cavs could always do a sign-and-trade with the Lakers for Randle and their lottery pick haha.
Not for me. I quit after the 1st quarter. In fairness, it was 5am and I had to work today and so wasn't up for losing a night's sleep to see the Spurs play ugly ball, again. Spurs have struggled to play the game their way and I put that down in large part to the Clippers consistent, urgent pressure. They have been playing their hearts out, getting it done on offense and playing HARD on D. I think Danny Green (or the Spurs shooters in general) hasn't been able to get into a proper rhythm because the Clippers just aren't giving any space to get those Good<Better<Best shots the Spurs love. I'm still not certain the Spurs have this series. So far it's been the Clippers' series to win or lose. I think their mental game and the fact that they have to play Griffin and Paul almost the whole game, every game, are the two biggest factors against them. But they've proven themselves as capable destroyers, not to be taken lightly. If they actually had depth they might well have won this already. Man has this been a tiring series. #playoffreform #eastisacakewalk
Clearly I was wrong. I have to give the Clippers credit, they responded well to a bad loss. It will be challenging to beat San Antonio again. This morning I am already hearing nonsense on Mike and Mike on the radio asking if this is the "end of the Spurs era." I mean its not like they are getting sweeped by LA. The Western Conference is tough!
props to the hawks. looks like they woke up. thought they were soft but when it hit 2-2 they got their game going. good job
I hope they win. I'm not being a heat Homer rooting against San Antonio, I just think the Clippers are more fun to watch.
"Inadvertent whistle" overturning a LeBron goal tend in Cleveland. NBA refs making up the rules as they go. What else is new? Doh Ed Malloy! In other news, Derrick Rose appears to be suited up, active and playing for the Bulls.
cavs need to win game 1 or 2, at least split the first two games.. When jr smith is back they should be fine... I think. But if they go 0-2 its over
Cavs lineup tonight was weak, and Lebron was average....must win game 2 or get ready for the least watched NBA finals in a while.
I've said it a few times but any NBA team relying on a loser head case like JR Smith is not a championship team. He shouldn't be that important and even Love shouldn't be an excuse. Cavs have the best 2 players. Should be enough to beat a limited Bulls team
