you should read the sun sentinel blogs.... the thing that stuck out the most for me was that Bess caught everything thrown at him.
The top performer of the day was Derek Hagan, who caught everything thrown his way, and made some really nice catches in traffic, and against tight coverage. First, McCown connected on a drag to Hagan, who was playing the slot. http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports...ns-prac-2.html
However, there were plenty of would-be sacks again. And I'd like to point out not one ball was thrown to Ernest Wilford and Ted Ginn Jr. during the team portion of practice, which is a trend I'm beginning to find disturbing. The top performer of the day was Derek Hagan, who caught everything thrown his way, and made some REALLY nice catches in traffic, and against tight coverage. First, McCown connected on a drag to Hagan, who was playing the slot and slipped underneath a zone. Beck also hit Hagan for a good pass in traffic on his very first pass of team drills. He threw away his second pass to avoid a sack, but followed that up by taking a would-be sack from Kendall Langford. His fifth pass was a good one to David Kircus (I didn't see who was defending because I was paying attention to Moses lining up as a defensive end on the same side with Anderson as the outside linebacker....It looked promising). But back to offense highlights because I know what you want....Hagan's best catch was during the final session of 11-on-11 when he caught a long bomb from McCown, who by far throws the best deep ball. Hagan beat Will Allen on the play that would have been good for a 30-plus gain. Allen was in position but simply couldn't make a play for the ball. http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports_football_dolphins/2008/07/dolphins-prac-2.html
As a group i think were gonna have a solid group that has flexibility. I also have a feeling that both little guys are going to make this team, bess for sure, foster seems to making an impact, just watching him on film he looks like a nice player.
Kim Boakemper on Mad dog's show on WQAM said he thinks we need to bring in Glenn. He thinks the WR corps needs to get better. Not enough separation.
I think bringing in Terry Glenn would greatly improve our receiving corps. Veteran leadership, and I think he still has gas in the tank.
I would not be opposed to bring in Glenn. I also think he has gas in the tank and would help out our young core quite a bit. Having said that..... I think, from the camp reports, that the Wr position has been a bit of a surprise so far in TC. I have heard things like "Ginn is much more polished and catching everything" "Bess should have his hands checked for superglue" Hagan "is a bright spot that catches everything" Wilford is "huge and will be big at moving the chains and in the red zone". Our Wr corps, as is, seems at least servicable. Now we need a QB to step up and play well.
