We didn't even have much time to play it today. We were over my parents for most of the day and we didn't hook it up till I got home about an hour ago. They played on it for about 40 minutes.. just 3D mario world... he likes it, but he's just too tired to play. He was up till 1am in the morning last night just too excited to fall asleep... before Santa even put the presents out. He's really happy about it though, just exhausted at the moment. They are going to get MK8 as soon as they can find it.
I played 3D world and love it, real fun.....IT was cool my wife was playing call of duty on ps4 on the tv, and i was on the gamepad playing M3DW.....really cool. He's playing it at home now while I work They're playing Mario KArt 8....so cool.
Sounds like you two need to get ready for a weekend of Mario. The ability to use the controller as a remote screen is really underrated. Sony's trying to do something like it by using the Vita as a mirror for the PS4, but no one owns a Vita, so…
Mario is also PERFECT for the touchpad. It just feels natural playing it on that little screen - I've played Nintendoland (good fun with other people), Mario 3d World, Mario Kart, and Smash. All of them are incredibly fun in their own way, but Mario World has definitely been my favorite title. That game is fun alone but even better when playing with others.
Played MK this weekend, friends brought over Wiimotes.....man we had a blast. Drunk Driving Mario Kart is the much fun!
yeah we got MK8 on Friday... they were playing it on my son's TV in his room, he's got like a 27 inch... so I told them I'd hook it up to my big screen and we could all play together. Good times.. Of course, I Pwned them on my first attempt on the "new" maps...
I wish! I had a 13" tv when I was a kid, and I was happy about it! I never got to hook up to the "big" tv.
bought my daughters a Wii U for Xmas. definitely loving it. I bought a cheap copy of Injustice G.A.U. to play when they go to bed. annoyed that you can't buy a second touch pad to go with the system. Went to three stores looking for one before I finally asked someone and was told you can't buy one. Been playing Infinity 2.0 with it today in between breaks of Dragon Age Inquisition on PS.
When you have kids that will fight tooth and nail for anything that looks like an ipad, I can see where it could be tough for a parent. But I can also see how 2 of the touchpads would cause all sorts of problems with the way they interact with the Wii U. I've been having a few issues just using the pad and 2 Wii Pros together. One controller will suddenly become the first controller or one controller gets glitchy. No major issues though. Kids in my house over Holidays are all too young for it. Let my 4 year old niece play on the touchpad for a bit and in about half a second she managed to wipe out my Mario 3D save file... I was only on world 3, so not a huge loss but finding all those stars again takes time. And that stupid gate level was a pain in the nuts! I had to break my rule about not buying games at Gamestop to find Mario Kart 8 but it was worth it. My sisters, brother in law, wife and I had a riot playing Smash and Kart for the past 4 days. Overall, I've had more fun with this system and the 3 games I have for it than I had in an entire year on the Xbox One. Haven't even touched Nintendo Land yet. I did order the Wii Fit game with board and Fit meters for $50 on that groupon deal. I'm going to need it considering I'm in Western New York and have been on a steady diet of beer and chicken wings for the last week and a half.
Sounds like you don't need this anymore, but saw this on Slick Deals today - http://www.gamestop.com/wii-u/acces...7&sourceID=lw9MynSeamY-w55FoQGtBzBSIFPvAVKHrA Seems expensive but people seem to think it's a good deal.
This might be the greatest thing ever. And then you encounter the part in the middle and it goes into overdrive.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is out on the eShop for $10. GET IT. It's one of the best Mario games of all times by reviews.
I'm OK with delays as long as they're put to good use. Hopefully the delay is to add content, not just to fix bugs or whatever.
Nintendo Direct event announced for April 1, 6 PM Eastern/3 PM Pacific. Wii U and 3DS both covered. Not an April Fool's joke.
Anybody else download 200cc on Mario Kart? It's a freaking blast. Totally changes the game. I'm fixing to buy the DLCs now as well. Just would like to get discounted ecards first.
I've been too busy with work, and my spare time is taken up by ArmA 3 and GTA 5 right now. I definitely want to try 200CC.
Wonder if the WiiU will drop in price then. My daughter has been having fun messing around with them at Best Buy.
Nintendo denied the report. http://gameranx.com/updates/id/45912/article/nintendo-will-continue-to-make-wii-us/
