I still love seeing Georgia Tech in the end zone there. We kicked some *** to win the Orange Bowl. Stadium seems to be coming along nicely.
Is it just me or does it seem like those corner seats are going to have some serious limited viewing?
i bet you wouldn't find one seahawk fan with that mentality, they all want to be at the game and it's dude to the construction of the stadium and how they together feel about affecting the game.
I still disagree, DJ. People go to the Seahawks games to yell and scream...to experience the game. There is no substituting watching an HD broadcast of the game if you want to watch the game. In other words, they aren't at the game to watch it, they're there to support the team, and have the experience of being a part of something. EDIT: I say "disagree", but we're essentially saying the same thing. I'm just disagreeing with the idea that you get a better viewing experience by being at the stadium.
oh that's fine, viewing experience on your hd, ok, but building a stadium spec to intimidate is how any nfl ball club would sell out their stadium and create a waiting list for season tickets, here these owners are building these new stadiums with bells and whistles, and wifi thinking thats gonna do the trick when the secret is right in front of their nose, or should I say northwest of their nose...its really quite dumb if you ask me when it comes to the suits not being able to figure it out, challenge and press the rules of construction relative to proximity to the field and you will create the ultimate advantage for your football team, first you build the stadium, then you get the money, then you get the power.
http://www.brobible.com/sports/article/miami-dolphins-stadium-shade-bench/ I had to laugh at this part of the article: "Of course this won’t be effective 100 percent of the time since the position of the sun does indeed change throughout the day but the thought of some ***hole architect sitting in his office thinking up ways to torture opposing team’s benches is fantastic."
Construction, I started out in my early years in the Laborer's Union working on Power Plant construction in Southeast Central Fl, switching to Teamster's Union and finally Painter's Union. I then was a Painter as well as could pretty much do all General Maintenance repairs which included pouring concrete, drywall, plastering, stucco, carpentry, plumbing, and hvac.
I just heard Tom Garfinkel on the radio. He said they were slightly ahead of schedule. So, that's good news. He also said that next offseason they will be putting in pedestrian bridges to cross 199th. That is great news to me. Currently you usually have to wait to cross the road to get to your car, then you have to wait in your car for the pedestrians that are crossing. He also said something about a pedestrian tunnel but he didn't expand on that.
Looking really good. Clean and up to date. I still think its going to look awful from the outside when its done, but its inside that matters.
Looking at both pictures it looks like the entire structure is in place. Pretty funny the end zone still says Georgia Tech.
I wonder what's happening to the two huge screens that are on the ends now when they're replaced by the four smaller ones. Sold to a college stadium?
They should reuse them for outside the stadium, or bring them on down to the nova training facility in Davie. But they'll probaby be auctioned. My guess.
Regular matinees of: Just need a venue to at least chip into Fin D's Nightly Donkey Show regular attendance numbers.
for the 2015 season, this thing is really going to look unfinished. The corners won't have the scoreboards placed in them yet. So it will look like this: The protruding columns in the corners will look pretty bad. Too bad they couldn't finish it all in one offseason but we will just have to keep reminding ourselves that the 2016 finished product will look pretty sweet.
