Really like Dallas' pick of Heeney. Wanted to move into 4th to get him...when we realized that wasn't happening, made a move to, fittingly, get Dallas' LB. I think some untrue stereotypes caused Heeney to be undervalued
It just depends which games you watched of Heeney's. There are some that make him look like the next Zach Thomas. If those happen to be the only ones you've seen, you fall in love with him and wonder why the hell he's not unanimously listed as a 2nd or 3rd rounder. Plus there are the crazy combine numbers. Once you dig deeper however you find some games that make you pump the brakes a little. I actually liked Minnesota's pick of Taiwan Jones better. IMO he's the best 2 down Mike in the draft. Denzel Perryman gets all the rave about being a downhill thumper that should be going to Jones.
I've noticed that some bio's on him got much more negative after he started to rise up the boards. Like someone wanted to put the kibosh on that (Especially on the NFL's site). The Patriots have been eyeballing him a lot. Belichick even sent his son down to do private work with him. Reports calling him non athletic yet he runs a 4.59 40. Had the best 3 cone time, the best 20 shuttle and the best 60 shuttle. With the right coaching this kid could be a beast....but he does need to work on his tackling and a few other minor issues.
Yah I got the Zach vibe from him at times. Needs to work on his tackling...tends to overshoot things at times to and barely ends up with a toe tackle because of it....but if he gets the right coaching he could be something. He's going to give you effort all the time though and I love the fact he's already known as a film rat.
Regardless of the stuff that needs to be sured up, it's pretty tough to pass on him in the late 4th round. When you pair the fact that he leads the nation in both solo tackles and missed tackles, it obviously means he's also arriving at the ball carrier more often than anyone else in the nation. Makes for a nice slab of slate to work with provided there's not some sort of fundamental coordination flaw behind those missed tackle attempts.
PJ Williams showing what a 1st round stud he is with a DUI (Possibly fleeing the scene?), and showing the integrity of the Tallahassee PD who gave him deserved traffic tickets.
Why wouldn't TPD issue a traffic ticket? It's not like Williams has a 2015 season at FSU to worry about protecting.
Today's Burger Bracket Challenge led to Culver's, home of the Butter Burger. (If you have not had a Butter Burger, it's basically a burger ... cooked in butter. Yes they are good) Final score was a 3.16 out of 5. Verdict: CULVERS 3.16 SAYS I JUST FED YOUR ***!
Thank you! Having missed out on earlier lineman, Rob has been on our list for quite sometime. It's unfortunate he had such a horrible combine. He did however have a better pro day. He started his career at wisconsin weighing 388 lbs, with a lot of hard work, over the last 3 or 4 yrs he lost almost 70 lbs. We think he has a great motor, pretty good athleticism and is very coachable.
You should know this isn't my first rodeo. Appearance: Rate the burger on overall appearance, including bun, toppings, and general appearance of the burger. Does the burger look appealing to eat? Rate 1 to 5 3.75 Notes: Culver’s uses the old-school plastic basket to deliver their fries and burger. The burger looks good, with a nicely griddled appearance, although the American cheese doesn’t look completely melted. If not for the cheese this would be really good. Taste: This should be self-explanatory. How does the burger taste? Does it taste natural or artificial? Is the burger meaty? Is the patty dry or moist? Is it seasoned correctly? Rate 1 to 5 3.75 Notes: Surprisingly solid. The griddled patty has a lot of flavor, although it could use a bit more seasoning. The other toppings are okay. The lettuce and tomato is pretty boring, although the raw red onion may be a bit divisive as it’s pretty spicy. The unmelted cheese is annoying, and the patty is a little bit dry. Other than that, I tend to approve. Construction: Does the burger have a tendency to fall apart or is it a complete package? Is the ratio of bun-to-burger correct? Does it have too much of something (condiments, toppings, etc.) Rate 1 to 5 3.5 Notes: Some flaws in the construction; the tomato and toppings on top with the mayonnaise tend to lead to some slippage, making the burger difficult to finish off. Has a little too much bun and other stuff to meat – I would like a bit more meat from the burger, especially since that’s the clear standout among everything else. Value: Is this burger worth the money that you paid for it? Are there other burgers at the same price point that you would prefer? Does it offer “bang for your buck?” Rate 1 to 5 4 Notes: The Double Butter Burger with Bacon combo will run you about 8 bucks, which is cheaper than other fast food restaurants in the area. On this trip, our service was fast, prompt, and very attentive, which increases the value in my book. Crinkle cut fries are a nice standout, although they aren’t my favorite. Overall Impression: How did the burger make you feel? Would you go back and eat it again? Is it something that you would recommend to others? Rate 1 to 5 4 Notes: As far as chain fast food joints go, you could do a lot worse than Culver’s. They’ve got a decent burger at a good price, and typically their services is very strong. Pretty good. Weighted Average: 3.82 I can also provide you with some other statistics, such as standard deviation, if requested.
Solid analysis. As a regular customer at Culvers, I can tell you that your annoyance with the unmelted cheese was an anomaly. 9 times out of 10, the cheese and greese is melting all over my hands.
It can be a strong flavour, but that just depends on the seasoning on the burger. I think a soggy tomato is the worst culprit on a burger, maybe relish.
I'm pretty much the same way, except I don't like tomato soup either. But salsa, marina, ketchup, etc is all fine.
Oh boy. Here we go with the onions again After the chicken and onion fiasco's....nice to see we are in total agreement here.
I'll make my pick tonight... holding the 4COB pick here, unless someone wants to trade up... then PM me. Yes it's a comp pick and it can't be directly traded, but I can trade the player I pick to you, so it can be traded. If you catch my drift...
I still believe onions work on a burger. Steamed bun, lettuce on the bottom bun, pattie, cheese, grilled/diced/carmenalized onion, horizontally cut pickle, mustard.
Onions yes (red onions... fried stringy onions... raw onions okay... grilled yes)!! Bacon **** YES! Barbecue sauce? Hell to Nth degree yes! Pulled Pork? You'd better give me some... Coleslaw? mmmm okay... Jalapeno... Mushrooms... Jalapeno poppers... Blue Cheese... **** NO!! Vom Burger..
