I've traded the pick to Jacksonville. Details . . . Sorry again for the acrimony. As alluded to earlier, it's a crazy day in west Arkansas.
We want him for the slot, but wanted the flexibility to move him elsewhere. Plus that speed....oh that speed.
Hes gotta add some muscle..but one thing I like about Dorsett is he isnt the kind of WR who expects to run under it..he will go and get the ball. He said he patterns himself after Antonio Brown and Steve Smith. Give me a kid with that speed willing to fight for a ball..all day every day.
Good luck with that. PFF's 2nd ranked rookie edge-rusher since 2008 can't fetch a 2nd rounder from this crowd despite having a rookie season that the proud new owners of Fowler, Ray, Beasley, and Dupree would be ecstatic to see duplicated..... so it'd be quite interesting to see what Van Noy goes for TBH.
Also pretty sure if I didn't figure out a way to get Dorsett after trading back this morning, I'm pretty sure VT would have taken my trade wand away.
Another guy I'm dangling for a 2nd round pick is DE/LB Marcus Smith. He was the 26th overall pick last year but I'd like to get another 2nd, so if you're interested PM me.
I know right. When you let Aldon Smith beat you out for the best Pass Rush Productivity score ever charted by PFF, there's something fundamentally wrong. If that doesn't scream STAY AWAY I don't know what does.
Wow. Did I miss crazy or what? Looks like despite a massive WR run, it looks like everyone got who they wanted. Although I was damned hard trying to pick up Strong yesterday. Yes I was going to go with Strong/Smith and Williams as my 3 ;p Could not for the life of me get a trade done.
well that's what happens when the next Aldon Smith happened to be drafted in the 5th round and you have people basing a player's worth on his draft status. One person here has publicly dismissed him b/c of his draft status. I bet the extent that 90% of you spent looking into him consisted of discovering he was a 5th rounder and then thinking to yourself, "Meh, lucky season". Like CK mentioned, "I know that if you were to tell me that Vic Beasley is going to go out there and have a rookie year like Jonathan Newsome had, I'd say hell yeah that shows you why he's a top 10 pick." Tell you what, why don't you tell me why Newsome is worth less than the available pass rushers to choose from in round 2.
So Ereck Flowers dropped out of the first round. He certainly wasn't a scheme fit for us in Green Bay, so I took Fisher. But I wonder why he dropped so far here? I've heard the Rams are looking at him at 10.
Well if I was going OL he would have been gone in the first. This league is always somewhat off with OL. Plus too many are getting first round grades these days when clearly some of them should be 2nd rounders.
I think o line just usually drop in these things. I remember getting Anthony Davis in the second one year and he went like 12th or something. Same story.
It's not for a lack of trying either. I mean besides this mass run of WR's THREE OL have gone this round. Four more between 23 and 32. Real GM's/Scouts etc are just getting lazy and pushing OL too high up boards as the 'safe' pick. Heck we haven't even got to the top tier guards yet.
I can only speak for me but I have Peat as the top LT in the draft and Flowers 2nd. I'm not sure Scherff or Collins stay at LT at the next level. To be clear, I think Scherff will be a great guard or Tackle, I'm just not sure he stays there. Collins I have a little more doubt about as I feel he and TJ Clemmings are both more RT then Lt. But Flowers or Peat was going to be my pick at 32. He probably dropped due some to injury concerns and partially because the canes were just not a great team so I'm not sure he got hyped up as much. I think Flowers will be a fine pro
My top 5 Tackles. 1.Scherrf 2.Collins 3.Clemmings 4.Peat 5.Flowers Both Scherff and Collins can play LT in the NFL (among Guard and likely RT), Clemmings has the potential to be the best in class. It's why I moved up for Collins. My line has a lot of guys that can play all over the line. I'm taking a risk by hoping Michael Bowie is completely healthy and Dunlap can reproduce last years play. I had to move James he is strictly a RT and I didn't really want to draft a OT at 47 especially when I saw how many OL were falling out of round 1.
That's because the top tier ones are tackles that can't cut it at LT so they either move to the right side or inside to guard. There is some nice starting quality guards right through probably the 3rd round this year. Cann might even slip into the end of round 1.
I disagree, Scherff has the agility to play LT, sure he doesn't have a huge reach but he is very good. Collins is a bit of a question mark whether he can play LT well at the next level. He can play Guard or RT but likely can play LT better than Ju'Wuan James.
3-4 teams, hybrids, plus any of the 4-3 teams that want the trendy SAM hybrid. That's about 80% of the NFL.
