Just saying, Ellerbe was a complete let down. They are excited about him, calling it a genius move to get him for Stills. Makes me wonder how much stock I want to put in their thoughts about Stills.
That would increase the amount of Miami Dolphins who wouldn't surprise me if they turned out to be gay to two. Other being Wake.
Caught that ball with one hand also. I see very little YAC. Most contact involved him shortly after on the ground. Not sure if he is avoiding contact on purpose and is one of those guys who is happy with catch, step out of bounds. Can't stand that crap. Used to love Clayton and Duper because they always looking for that extra yard or two, good receivers do. 4.38 - 40 yrd dash 33.5 - vertical leap (not great) In 2013 he was targeted 51 times in 16 games and grabbed 32 passes for 641 yrds and 5 td In 2014 he was targeted 85 times in 15 games and grabbed 63 passes for 931 yrds and 3 td seems to me like he is a decent #2/#3 receiver Not sure how much of a difference between Drew Brees and Ryan Tannehill throwing him passes will be. I would bet though that he will have a lower production level due to lack of time working with Tannehill
Pretty sure he said he had a longterm gf. Idk why you'd think he was gay to begin w... not that there's anything wrong w that.
I never said I thought he was gay. Just it wouldn't surprise me. Haven't you met straight people, who if they turned out to be gay you would be like, "oh yea, that makes sense." There are plenty of gay people with long term girlfriends. They even have a name for them, beards.
i still have in order on our team..Landry..Matthews..Stills.. so we still need two more receivers...one really good one, and one with good upside..
Yea Ellerbe and Wheller didn't live up to expectations, but neither did Misi. I think long term we will look back and realize it was the coaching not exactly the players. We will find out soon in their new homes this season(except Misi). I think we can make a reasonable assumption that stills is NOT a #1. Plus there are two years of numbers to look at with one of the best QB's in the league. Numbers indicate #2/#3. I didn't see much breakaway speed and not much yardage after the catch. What bothers me is if he can develop it would have been a whole lot easier for him to develop with someone like Wallace being here. Then there is the low salary of $585,000. Definitely is going to want his payday in 2017, which means we will be negotiating with him next year which has the potential to be one of the worst cap situations the dolphins have had in their history.
He was largely inconsistent with in one of the best passing offenses in the league. And when he did contribute it was on the deep ball every other game. If Wallace couldn't get the long ball going in Miami, I have very little hope that Stills will. Hopefully he will be more productive than some of Ireland's free agent WR whiffs.
