So it looks like Patrick Robinson CB is coming to the Dolphins barring any setbacks. But how much of a role will he have with the Dolphins and how good do you think he can be? Last season with the Saints he was in and out of the starting line up and was sometimes just in the nickel package. Will he be a starter he or will he be a nickel and dime player? He does have talent and potential. I think it will help Robinson having a defensive line of Suh, Wake, and Vernon. Saints D line was bad.
Saints had a pretty ****ty defense. He runs a 4.4 in the combine, lots of good grades coming out of FSU. Hope he is our nickle/Jimmy Wilson role.
What if heaven forbid Dolphins didn't add another CB to the team do you think him or Jamar Taylor would start?
I know the Saints had a crappy D, but I thought his individual numbers were decent, but I can't remember where I saw them... We'll see, but I am not sure his signing is locked in as of yet...
Will be a battle. Taylor flashed last year, but was behind Davis before he was injured. They all need to come and bust their asses this year. If I had to pick right now, I'd say Robinson due to his experience.
Weary of him but we'll see. Sains fans seem to be glad he's gone. Did everyone hear that the Saints are shopping Jimmy Graham? NFL Network reported it. I'm drooling...I doubt Miami could afford him after Suh though. I'd give up a 1st round pick for him. Miami needs a pass catcher after all. The Seahawks are going after him though...I mean, wow. Jimmy Graham in Seattle... They're giving a 1st rounder and Max Unger supposedly.
Haven't watched Robinson much since he left FSU but he's a welcome addition bc after Grimes our CBs are scary, and not in a good way.
I seem to be the only one in love with this signing. I think he's a sleeper pick up. This reminds me of when we too a fliar on Terrell Buckley. Love this signing. He should start unless Jamar has taken the next step. Suddenly our CB situation isn't that big of a concern if they all stay healthy and Will Davis comes back.
Something to keep in my mind....The Saints had one of the worst pass rushes in the league last year. The Dolphins had the third best pass rush and have now added Suh. Robinson could end up being a high value acquisition if we don't have to pay him much.
I'm not sure what you have seen from Davis in the regular season which makes you think he will be a help in the secondary. He plays his best football during the preseason and then does nothing once the regular season begins. Taylor may yet become a solid CB in the NFL but I just don't see Davis being on the roster beyond this coming season. In fact if they draft a CB in the first two rounds, Davis might not even be on the roster in 2015. As far as everyone in the secondary remaining healthy. The chances of that happening is very small. Injuries are part of the game and it would be extremely unlikely the Dolphins would go through the entire season without some members of the secondary missing games due to injury. Last year the only membes of the secondary who did not miss games because of injury or suspension were Wilson and Grimes. Every other player in the secondary who was on the opening day roster missed playing time during the season due to injury.
