lmao just saw the huge holes part. Should have had a contingent plan if I was around enough.. Oh well, off to the free agent boards later tonight... hmmm
After a quiet start to Free Agency, the New York Giants have finally made their splash. The Giants would like to welcome the two best offensive linemen on the market to the team in Brian Bulaga and Orlando Franklyn. "It was always our intention to blow our wad on the offensive line, one that is now among the very best in the league." The Giants now have a formidable line to protect their future Hall of Fame QB and ascending offensive talent. "It's huge to give Eli the time to find Odell, Victor, Witten, and Larry. It's even bigger Williams and Jennings to find giant holes behind . . . no pun intended." Elsewhere, New York has finished deals with two other players this evening. Danny Lansanah has been brought in after not being tagged by Tampa Bay. "He had a fantastic year last season in Tampa, we were shocked to see him not tagged, but we'll be happy to add him to start on the other side of ascending sophomore Devon Kennard." The Giants also have brought back CB Zachary Bowman who will be given the chance to start on the other side of Leon Hall. "When Coach Schiano looked at the tape last year, he saw a player that was ready for a bigger chance after playing behind the talented corners we had in New York." That wraps up a busy night here in the New Jersey area, I would like to think all the bums under this wonderful bridge for tuning in tonight. I know you don't have a choice when it comes to cardboard box TV, but your viewership is appreciated. Coming up tomorrow, my story on the time I conquered the mighty moon worm, saving Neal Armstrong in the process. I'm Brian Williams . . . goodnight and this is all true. I promise.
It was a long hard road but Rolando McClain is coming back to Dallas with enough money to burn down several more houses. Also, The Cowboys would like to welcome DT Derrick Shelby and WR Nate Washington to the team at minimum salaries. They will make nice additions to the rotation.
The Jags would like to welcome dynamic receiver Leonard Hankerson. If he stays healthy, he'll be manning the slot position. In 2013 he managed 9.5 YPT and 14.3 yards per catch and had two receptions for 40-plus on 57 targets. At 6-2, 209, and with 4.43 speed, Hankerson isn't overly quick, but he's physical, tough to bring down after the catch and capable of making plays downfield.
After a whirlwind first day in free agency, the Packers are thrilled to announce the following additions: NT Letroy Guion $510,000 RB Roy Helu $1,000,000 T Michael Harris $510,000 FB John Kuhn $510,000 T Ryan Harris $1,000,000 QB Matt Flynn $510,000 Letroy Guion is back and will compete for the starting nose tackle role with Roy Miller. The little hiccup he had recently was proven to be nothing but him moving some cash around. He doesn't trust banks. Neither do I Roy Helu will be added to the stable of backs we have on the roster and will compete with James Starks, Donald Brown, Zurlon Tipton and Dujuan Harris. Helu's size speed combination is rare for the position. He's yet another back that has above average hands out of the backfield, catching 42 passes last season. Packers screen game is going to be alive and well with him and Brown especially. Michael Harris is someone you may not have heard of. The right tackle started 5 games last season for the Vikings down the stretch. That was some of the best football the Vikings played last year. Of course he struggled when the Vikings played Cam Wake and the Dolphins.... but that's normal. He has 17 starts in his short career at left and right tackle. Good depth player who can start if needed. John Kuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhn.... Need we say more? Ryan Harris, tackle started all 16 games for the Chiefs last year. He'll be penciled in as the starter at right tackle, replacing Bryan Bulaga whom the Packers chose not to chase in free agency once his # got to $10m. We think we have a solid o line all together with four returning starters from last season in Bakhtiari, Sitton, Linsley and Lang. Lastly, Matt Flynn is back for another stint with the Packers. He's proven to be the only man capable of backing up Aaron Rodgers and actually playing somewhat decent if called upon. He knows the system. Knows his way around the building. Why not? We'll now focus the rest of our resources in free agency on defense. And will head into the draft going BPA the rest of the way.
someone make sure 305 is ok? His FB got arrested....for domestic abuse.....reporting by all bay area news outlets.
Broncos would like to welcome DE/OLB Dwight Freeney. Though Freeney only had 3.5 sacks he still applied 40 pressures in 2014. We feel he will be a very valuable resource as a situational pass rusher and hope he finishes his career in Denver.
Titans have signed veteran slot master Wes Welker who still can't believe his luck....first Brady, then Manning and NOW Mettanberger!!
Eagles Go Full Duck The Philadelphia Eagles made several moves this morning, signing a quintet of players to low-risk, one year deals. On the defensive side of the ball, the team came to terms with Safety Eddie Pleasant, a hard-hitting player who is expected to contribute on special teams and in dime packages, as well as Casey Matthews, who played his first four years in the City of Brotherly Love, and had 11 starts a season ago. On the offensive side of the ball, the Eagles signed LaMichael James, a former Doak Walker award winner who, for whatever reason, hasn't been able to get his NFL career on track. The team also took a flyer on tight end Ed Dickson, a physically talented receiver who most recently played for the Carolina Panthers. Lastly, the Eagles made a shrewd move in bringing back Jeff Maehl, who was an Exclusive Rights Free Agent but was allowed to walk. The team was actually able to save $75,000 signing him in this manner. Oh, and did we mention that these are all Chip Kelly guys? There's that too. Every single guy played for Kelly while he was at Oregon. The coach was almost defiant in announcing the signings this morning. Having filled out their depth positions, it remains to be seen if the Eagles are planning on pursuing any additional free agents, or if they're content to focus on the upcoming NFL draft.
So you signed a bunch of racists then? I mean, they understand the culture you're trying to accomplish after all.
The Ravens will gleefully welcome the following players: OG Mike Iupati $8,000,000 S Darian Stewart $850,000 K Mike Nugent $510,000 With a OL of LT Eugene Monroe, LG Mike Iupati, C Stefan Wisniewski, RG Larry Warford, and RT Ricky Wagner we believe we have one of the top 2-3 OL's in the league. Special thanks to Jacksonville for moving on to centers instead of driving up Iupati's price because with limited cap space Im not sure how much higher I could have gone
Our OL has the best LT and Center in the league, an emerging young guard in Osemele and a solid veteran starter in John Greco. Get us a RT and good luck trying to stop it.
I can speculate on a handful of guys that will be better at C than Mangold in 2016. I realize you have some nice PFF stats to toss around at me, its just an opinion.
Fair but Mangold is still going steady. I think its a good indication that he wont be slowing down anytime soon, plus this is 2015 not 16
Malcolm Smith had a down year last year but for 510K thats a hell of a good signing based on what he could be.
