What do you guys think of Bernardrick McKinney, LB from Miss State? I remember someone mentioning him way back before when, and I watched some tape. I remember liking him but never followed up afterwards. If it's possible to trade down an acquire and extra second round pick, he seems like he'll be in our range to take in a round 1 trade down and fill the need/value of MLB.

5 of the top 10 WRs in yardage are 1st round picks.

1 of the top 10 RBs in yardage are 1st round picks.

Seems 1st round WRs are much more likely to be successful versus RBs.

Fair enough. WR's are better value than RB's in round 1. And I did edit to suggest, I would make exceptions for overly talented WR's that you can't pass up, like Cooper. I'd be OK with Jalen Strong in the mid-early 20's (trade down) too, if the value is right.

I still like the Packers model, who've had a tremendous WR corp since... forever. Going back to Brett Favre's run in the 90's. Their corps is entirely comprised of 2nd and 3rd round picks. I'm taking Jordy Nelson (who I wanted very badly in 08 at pick 33) and Cobb over any duo in the league. Add in DeVante Adams, and I'm on cloud 9 thinking about what Tannehill could do with that. Looking back at these last 3-4 drafts, Miami could easily have an incredible WR corp with a bunch of second - third round selections. Alshon Jeffery, T.Y. Hilton, Keenan Allen etc...

I am open to your suggestion .

I would bring back Reggie Bush and then ad a offensive guard in rd 3 or rd 4

Take it from an ASU fan who lives in Phoenix; the SunDevil the Dolphins want to draft is Pass rushing DT/DE Marcus Hardison and not WR Jaelen Strong.

90% of all mocks that I see (including post-Suh) have us taking Parker. Like all of them. Not sure how I feel about that. I'd like Kendricks personally.....MAYBE Gordon, But that's Assuming Cooper and the few others I like are already gone.

Misfit WR's what game you watching.

Edelman only caught 197 passes the last two years and proved he can play inside/outside much more valuable than Welker ever was. LaFell is not a misfit if anything he is a perfect fit for what the Patriots were needing.

I do see your point in that Brady didn't have an elite or high paid group like some fans want us to have or dreamed of.

The biggest problem I see with your argument is your comparing our situation to teams with THE two best QB's in the NFL presently. One is a HOF who IMO is the best of all time. The other in Rodgers is the type of player a machine would spit out if you asked for the "Perfect QB".

QB makes the WR's around him better, and those are the two best at it. I love Tannehill but let's be real he isn't an Elite guy. He certainly could be a Top 10 and SB type QB but he isn't that type.

Like this point a lot. In a draft with WR's this loaded if we trade below 20 we Risk losing a shot at the Top 4 to 5 guys potentially. If you like one of these WR's you grab him at #14. I do think Hickey is smart in that affect probably could of traded down and gotten James in the 20's but stood his ground and didn't risk it. Hope he follows suit if WR is the pick.

For me, I'd trade down if you are looking to snag a RB/ILB/DT.

With Suh, the #2 CB spot just became the FB of the defense. (Besides, I think Taylor will have a Jenkins 2014 kind of year anyway).

Our biggest needs are WR > S > G > LB > #2 RB. If Clay leaves put TE in front of LB.

Great post D. Biggest thing by adding Suh we CANT play off man not with the rush were going to get be like giving offense free yards. In terms of CB I like rumor of Patrick Robinson, young talented and has experience in the nickel (huge). Hope that for Taylor but need to see if consistently, talent there.

If Clay does leave I hope it's quickly so we don't miss out in talking to Cameron, Gresham, or a guy like Virgil Green. Either way Sims is capable of doing the job, just hope Clay is back.

Agree with you on Safety being a need but since FA and Draft isn't that loaded I'd draft a OG/LB over a S for the right player.

Dolphins are going to get a CB in free agency, I think it very likely. This is probably their biggest goal right now after landing Suh. Probably will try to squeeze a safety as well.

I fully believe Dolphins will look to defense with the remainder of free agency, and go heavy offense in the draft. LB is the only wild card I see where they might target one in the draft due to how thin the FA linebacker group is.

    No thanks on Parker.

I don't think he will ever be a #1 receiver. That's my issue with him at 14. He's good, but I can't see him becoming a game-changer against top CBs. His feet are not good enough, so his routes aren't terribly crisp. He doesn't have quite enough size/length to dominate tight coverage like he did in college (shorter than Mike Evans, Kelvin B, and AJ Green who he is often compared to). And he doesn't play 4.4 on the field. Imo his ceiling is a good #2 type.

If we go WR at 14 I'd go DGB. Take the guy with rare ability for his elite size. That's someone who could develop into a true #1 stud.

If we go CB I really like Peters. Again, this is a guy who you can match against the opposition's best and feel good about it, imo. The suddenness/quickness he has at his size and length is terrific, and when he's locked in he plays the QB like Richard Sherman.

This for me. Realistic shot he is there at 14. A stretch, but possible.

Cooper reminds me of Antonio Brown. Brown was a fantastic route runner last year, arguably the best route runner in the league. He was also arguably the most productive WR in the league. That's not a bad ceiling for Cooper.

Lol, zero reason we'd have to move up for DGB. Might be there at our 2nd round pick.

We will have to see what happens with the remainder of free agency.

They've basically got TWO corners. They need four legit ones. That's urgent. They may get a Patrick Robinson in free agency but that still leaves a need for one more.

They need a safety. It's currently a must.

They have room for another guard but I don't think they feel it's urgent.

They have a need for one more receiver.

They have a need for one more tailback.

They have a need for one more quarterback.

We're going to have to see what happens on Clay. If he goes, they may address it by bumping the WR position from a need to a must. That would put a trade-up for Amari Cooper on the table, but also would put the possibility of sitting at 14 and taking Jaelen Strong possible.
