According to Twitter, he wants to sign here or with Giants. Titans also in the mix. I wanted us to draft him back then, but he hasn't exactly lit up the NFL with his production. But he's also had to switch between being a 43 end and to a 34 olb. Maybe he would prosper in our D. Perhaps we'll see. Thoughts?
Fins in the mix for DE/OLB Brandon Graham (again). http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ll-potentially-in-the-mix-for-brandon-graham/ But what does it mean? Does it mean that we, in hindsight, could have gotten compensation for Dion Jordan when the opportunity was there last year? Or, does this just reinforce the move of Dion Jordan back to one of the linebacker spots? Which of the three LB spots would be the best suited for him? Does it spell trouble for Cameron Wake, Olivier Vernon, or maybe just Derrick Shelby? Where's our cap at anyways? Would Brandon Graham be a depth signing or would he eventually start? Dolphins are looking at Ron Parker from the Chiefs (2014-2015) as well. Don't know much about him. Apparently he's a better safety than a corner but doesn't have what one would consider a competent body of work. Interested to see where all of this goes.
Sorry McQuack, you beat me to this thread. Must have made it while I was typing mine up. If one of the mods could merge, it would be greatly appreciated.
DJ is a man without a position or role on this team. He would've been a great pick had we've been a 34 D still. Since we're not and the staff can't figure out what to do with him, we might as well trade him and see what we can get. I'm sure Kelly would be glad to have him back.
And what about Fede and McCain? This team seems loaded already at these spots and with flexibility. Curious what their plan is.
I want to see Dion Jordan play the kind of role Bruce Irvin plays in Seattle. That 4-3 OLB, who kind of does it all for 3 downs. And in guaranteed passing situations, throw him down on the line with his hand in the dirt. Jordan-Wake-Suh-Vernon all coming at the QB in a nickel or dime, passing situation could be pretty fun to watch. I know Seattle did that a lot with Avril, Bennett, McDaniel/Williams, and Irvin all coming at the QB on 3rd and longs.
They've got two years worth of tape to see he's not a true DE. And they've got two years worth of tape to see he can cover TE/WR pretty well. I'm hoping that's enough evidence for Coyle to move him to LB, where he can cover and blitz.
If we are serious about Brandon Graham, then I think its safe to say Dion Jordan will be playing OLB in 2015.
Our Interest in Graham tips the hand of the brass' plans at linebacker. If Miami had of landed Graham, then there is no way Misi would be moving back outside to Sam. So they either have plans to draft a Middle man early or are keeping Misi at Mike.
