    From Armando:

Say we sign Suh and Albert isn't ready for start of the season, what exactly is the backup plan here? Jason Fox, Billy Turner, Dallas Thomas, or JuWain James again? Unnamed FA? Draft pick? Should we be seriously concerned about LT?

I'm more concerned about his back than his knee.

Until he steps on the field and shows that he has fully recovered from the most serious injury of his career, I think there has to be some concern.

He has a history of suffering injuries which keep him out of games and he isn't getting any younger. We all saw how quickly Jake Long declined on the field after he started suffering injuries during his last few years with the Dolphins.

Hopefully Albert can return next season and play at the same level he did prior to his latest injury. I just think with his injury history, it would be wise for the Dolphins to draft a LT somewhere in the draft .If they don't draft a young LT ,they should sign one in free agency in case Albert isn't healthy enough at the beginning of the season or his play is ineffective once he does return.

Right now the Dolphins do not have a reliable LT on their roster if Albert doesn't return 100% next year.

Well, we'll have to wait a bit to see... If they pursue a b level LT in FA along with Fox, then the team may also share some doubt that he's going to be ready at the start. If they pursue a higher level FA or use a 1-3 rd pick for a LT, then they may be concerned about him coming back to where he was. If they ignore the position in FA and draft, then they must be thinking he's in good shape...

I just think it's a little too early to tell about his progress yet...he's really only 4 months out from the injury...

    Well away from here
Ah, the lull before the draft. Nothing to report, so lets say something like this.

Call me in three months and we'll see how he's doing. IF he's hurting then, then yeah we will have to resort to a backup. You can't invest too much into the back up though as Albert isn't dead, he will return from the injury. You need a competent backup, not an overpriced one.

Everything I've heard about his recovery has been good so I'm going to assume week one, since he's an OL and he isn't playing a run and cut position. He can wear one of those big frame braces on his knee to protect it.

You're a Penn State guy, right? What's your take on OT Donovan Smith from PSU? I saw a little film and what really caught my eye was how quick his feet looked for such a big dude, powerful player as well. He, Jake Fisher and Quentin Rollins have really caught my eye so far.
