Yeah, dude was a stud when he first broke into the league. Hasn't played a full 16 games since 2011. ...And 7 combined games the past two seasons.
the raiders finally signed the top cb available to them for a reasonable market price it seems. welcome to wherever the raiders are playing now Brandon Flowers.
Which is why i have a young promising starter behind him in Zach Brown, certainly need a plan B with guys with questionable durability.
Texans welcome the following: P - Thomas Morstead to help improve their special teams play and he will cost the Texans $1.2 mil less than Shane Lechler. OLB - Trent Cole who brings his top 15 ranked OLB pass rush to the Texans damn this years FA market is getting expensive!
The Buccaneers would like to welcome DE/DT Leger Douzable! Douzable, only 28, has shown himself capable of being a DE or DT. He earned a positive PFF grade and only cost $1.0 million, and while we believe that Jacquies Smith will excel at the starting LDE position, if he can't we expect that Douzable will. At the very least he will become a key contributor in our rotation, at either position, dependent on how Lovie Smith and Leslie Frazier want to use him.
your move for moats was crappy - and i dont care if i said it in the over thread too - under 10 minutes left to go - bull****
It's happened to all of us. Happened to me before and I've done it before (after learning it will get done to you regardless if you play nice or not). It's frustrating when it does occur, no doubt. But it's a 24-hour bidding process. Not 23-3/4, not 18 hours, not 1 hour...it's 24, so it's just part of it. I am sorry though, it's ****ty to lose out on a guy that you thought you had so close to the buzzer. That sucks. Like Schis said, keep at it though.
Nah, within five minutes maaaaaybe. Ten minutes is nothing, besides it'd happen regardless no matter what the time limit was. If you want to do away with that you'd have to pick a group of players, have them open a negotiation window and have all the GMs send in a blind bid during that period and the highest bid wins.
im not a child, you dont have to talk to me like one or rationalize for me. Im allowed to be upset. I wouldnt do it to someone, i'd expect the same in return. I see some of you arent amenable to that, ill deal with it and move on. No problem. -end rant
I like to take 23 hours to think about things, weigh the pros and cons and live my every day life then consider everything again for 50 minutes and take my time to type my carefully researched bid in the last nine minutes.
Don't think I forgot about that last minute snipe on Don Barclay 2 years ago. I plan on getting you back.
I would rather overpay the top FA and get an impact player than pay mid size money to replacable guys
Philadelphia Inquirer - According to team sources, Philadelphia Eagles Running Back LeSean McCoy is reportedly "furious" at the team's pursuit of free agent Wide Receiver Torrey Smith. McCoy reportedly feels slighted because the Eagles are rumored to have offered Smith 12.0 million dollars, which would make him the highest paid player on their roster. It will be interesting to watch this story develop, although we do not expect the Eagles to release McCoy outright, as he has a dead money charge of 4.4 million dollars (although with this GM and Chip Kelly, anything is certainly possible). With salaries approaching somewhere between 14 and 18 million dollars in free agency, McCoy may suddenly have appeal to teams who are looking for a known quantity at running back.
