Lesson learned. Only throw out guys your looking to milk comp picks for. At least I wasn't the only one who misread that.
Sorry guys. Just frustrated...plus training a new guy here (hate that) at work. Just set a price I thought could survive 24 hours. Less sure it holds as these bids get more rediculous.
This is strictly a tiered free agency process. I don't want some sort of real opportunity for people to re-sign and match or anything like that. I would like to eventually have three or four tiers of free agency (50-60 players in each). This is simply to break up free agency rather than blowing our load all at once. As little "dead space" as possible has been my goal.
hopefully someone takes the Jets up on their threat of going "dollar for dollar" on Julius Peppers. I will actually trade a pick to whoever wins. #comical
Nah...I don't think his market changes much. I'll tell you why in a bit. Yah it was my fault for skim reading. Completely missed the non bid part. Lack of sleep + night shift + trainee + screw up = cranky ;p
I believe there are kids in high school now that were born the last time your inside LB took the field. Glass houses...first stones
pretty sure murray played 18 games last yr (could have been more if the cowgirls didnt get screwed to all hell on the dez bryant "catch") and 15 the yr before.
That's FA around here. Graham went for over $30 million last year. Hell we got Kareem at $16 and 4 CB's that are going to double digit alone. There aren't going to be bargains this time round with 32 active teams. Free for all.
Dayum sports24/7! Trying hard to keep that interior DL intact at all costs. Respect! Edit: Anyways...good bidding to all. I got to relax and get some much needed sleep!
Yeah, I've got some money to spend, so I figure why not try and keep Suh, Fairley, and Ansah together while adding Dumervil.
If you wouldnt have franchised Suh this wouldve been the funnest FA period in league history...topping Manning
Cornerbacks/Safeties happen to be one of the premiere positions in the GML with the top DB usually bringing in anywhere from 9% (2013) to 18% (2012) with a mean average of 13.5% as the ceiling for the position. What does that mean for todays GML cap figure at $150,000,000? Well if the salary for Cornerbacks are to meet the ceiling of the highest cap % back in 2012 then the top corner will be looking at $27,000,000. If we look at the lowest ceiling from 2013, the cap % would equate to $13,500,000. Of course the mean Cap % for the past 5 years at 13.5% will equate to a salary of $20,250,000. Now I know what you're asking, but what is the lowest Cap % of top ten Defensive Backs over the years? Why, it's been a steady 5% which means the floor that most GMs paying for a top ten DB this year is $7,500,000. Where does Kareem Jackson land on our top paid corners? He's got a current cap % of 10.5% which marks this current market as the second lowest in terms of top paid defensive backs. That puts Kareem Jackson between 2014 Dashon Goldson (Cap % - 12) $15,000,000 and 2012 Courtland Finnegan (Cap % - 18) $15,500,000.
Did you know... 2010 - OT Marcus McNeil - $7,000,000 - 12% (#2) OT Donald Penn - $6,250,000 – 11% 2011 - OT Doug Free - $13,250,000 – 17.5% (#2) C Ryan Kalil - $10,250,000 - 13.5% 2012 - OG Carl Nicks - $11,300,000 – 13% (#2) OT Demetrius Bell - $10,000,000 - 12% 2013 - OG Andy Levitre - $13,000,000 – 10.5% (#2) OT William Beatty - $11,250,000 - 9% 2014 - C Alex Mack - $14,000,000 – 11% (#2) C John Sullivan $10,500,000 - 8% Offensive Tackles (5/10) are consistently one of the top paid lineman from year to year, followed by centers (3/10) and then guards (2/10). The mean average for highest paid lineman is roughly 13% which equates to $19,500,000 in terms of a 2015 salary number. It should be noted that C John Sullivan was a surprise cut by Minnesota Vikings GM PSG in 2014 otherwise the second highest paid lineman would have been OT Zach Strief.
Looking for a starting CB and SS. My 2nd and 3rd round picks are on the table depending on the quality of the player. PM me if you're interested.
People need to stop being so friggen cheap. If you want a player, or to bid them up, you put in a REAL bid, not the minimum increase. Cop out move. To one their own.
