    Presumptions:
    1. Odrick gone, I don't blame him. Odrick appeared to be deeply offended by Coyle's stupidity on several occasions.
    2. Clay stays, I think he will get a better offer than he deserves. He has durability issues.
    3. Wallace stays and takes no cut. Any other decision would be fiscally irresponsible. Get him to make vows and commitments to the team. Trade him next year.
    4. Finnegan retires
    5. Wilson walks, Michael Thomas stays
    6. Tannehill's deal doesn't get done. He and his agent are believing for a big year and much more money.

Doubt they get this radical but Mitchell and Starks let us down. 36th and 42nd in the league last year. Dolphins could keep them another year if it wasn't for the cap situation. Bottom line: Their production is easily replaceable, and the Dolphins need the cap to sign a top tier CB. I love Brent Grimes and all he has done but I expect him to fade. The position is just too important to wait on Taylor and the other youngsters or rookie draft picks. Could we get late round picks for Starks and Mitchell?? Maybe take a 6th for Starks? Add WR Rishard Matthews to a deal for Mitchell with the Chargers and get a 5th. The Chargers wanted Mitchell last offseason.

Other trades: With great time and effort I think a good deal could be made with the Browns for Hartline. Hartline may even restructure and give a home state discount. He and his lady are from Ohio and he has businesses there. He spends all his free time there. Browns are as WR needy as an NFL team gets and they could use an experienced vet with a couple thousand yard seasons under his belt. If Hartline stays he will be asked to take a paycut and become a #3 0r 4 WR.
A better career move could be a move to Ohio. A 5th,6th?? How about a 5th, Browns have too many picks anyway.

Having multiple late round picks gives us the luxury of cutting Fields and his 3.4 million contract and spending a pick on Spencer Roth.

Other Cuts: Nate Garner,Brandon Gibson,Ellerbe,Shelley Smith, Finnegan may retire. Pouncey's cap number may go down if given a contract. This would, along with the trades, clear over 40 mil in cap but that doesn't include what space would be consumed by the Clay contract, and retaining Michael Thomas,AJ Francis, and other ERFA's.

    FA signings:
At backup QB I would sign a cheap veteran to a one year deal with a view to drafting Carson Wentz in 2016.
    Chris Culliver CB
Torrey Smith WR then trade Wallace next year.
Clint Boling LG Perfect guy for our system.
Jordan Cameron WR Yup, wouldn't even call him a TE. He had better combine numbers than most of the WR's in this year's class. He had a horrible year but there were injuries and he played for the Browns, nuff said. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2v7eC7yN6I
Kenrick Ellis NT Hulking run stuffer who could be primed for a breakout.
Jaquizz Rogers RB 3rd down back only. He had the highest PBE of any RB last year and noone else was even close. Very good receiver, super blocker, but ineffective as a runner. The exact opposite of Lamar Miller. Shouldn't cost much.
Sean Richardson SS Could definitely be primed for a breakout season but he can't be relied upon because of his horrible neck injury. He could be out of football forever if that fusion doesn't hold. Still should be an excellent value acquisition and a good risk.http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=84148&draftyear=2012&genpos=SS
    Charles Tillman Mentor/DB

    Draft:
Obviously if Danny Shelton is there......but realistically, it may be better to seek a trade down opportunity. Perhaps a trade up with say Atlanta if Shelton is there and they would make a palatable deal. I'm sure they would want significant draft pick compensation or Olivier Vernon or Dion Jordan. I think trading down once or even twice would get us the depth we need in our secondary and OL. If I can't have White or Shelton I would try to garner a 2nd and a 3rd and trade down into the top of the 2nd if need be. We will probably get stuck at 14 and have to draft ?, but just to make it interesting I get my picks and end up picking at around 33-38.

2nd BPA that slid out of the 1st ??.......Jordan Phillips DT
2nd........................................Jake Fisher OT/OG The OL is good and secure for a few years.........well , should be. Big time luxury pick.
2nd....................Marcus Hardison DT 10 sacks last year against top competition and he missed a game/situational pass rusher on the inside
3rd...........Is this where Chris Conley's rocket stops....WR Chris Conley
3rd ...........Eric Rowe S/CB He is everything we hoped Walt Aikens might be, only Rowe is brilliant with impeccable character and leadership qualities
4th............Jesse James TE Very Raw but great potential as both an inline blocker and downfield threat.
5th............RB/KR/PR Tye Montgomery Yes, I think he slides, and Yes, RB, I'd convert him. IMO, he has no future playing WO. Statistically, the best PR/KR in this draft. Landry can focus on becoming a perfect WR.
5th............Miles Diffenbach OG/OC Tons of potential but has durability issues
5th............Davis Tull LB Check his combine performance
6th,,,,,,,,,,,,Louis Trinca-Pasat DT Maybe the steal of the draft right here
    6th............Spencer Roth Punter
7th............Junior Sylvestre LB/SS combine snub, check pro day
    7th............Conor Halliday QB #3 prospect

I have hope against hope that Chris McCain steps up and passes Wheeler on the depth chart. That is why I didn't choose Bernardrick McKinney with the top pick. Koa Misi ranked 12 th in the league amongst ILB's, and that is out of 60 with qualifying snap counts according to PFF. He isn't the problem.

    FA's:
    Marcus Murphy RB
    Kyle Emanuel DE/OLB
    Mark Nzeocha LB
    Greg Manz OL
    John Lowdermilk Safety

    Roster
    QB...........Tannehill,Christian Ponder,Connor Halliday
    RB...........Miller,Rogers,Williams,Tye Montgomery,Murphy
    WR..........Wallace,Torry Smith,Landry,Cameron,Conley Hazel
    TE............Clay,James,Simms
    OT...........Albert,James,Fisher
    OC/OG.......Pouncey,Boling,Billy Turner,Diffenbach,Dallas Thomas

    DT........Phillips,Kenricks,Hardison,Trinca Pasat,DeAndre Coleman,Johnson
    DE.........Wake,Vernon,Jordan,Fede,Shelby
    OLB......Jelani Jenkins,Chric McCain,Wheeler,Davis Tull,Kyle Emanuel
    ILB.......Misi,Tripp
    Safety.....Jones,Richardson/Rowe,Michael Thomas,Walt Aikens
    CB...........Grimes,Culliver,Taylor,Tillman,Davis,Seamster

    P..Roth
    K...Sturgis?
    LS...One more year ....Denney

I don't even remember who are DL coach is but he better be awful good.

This offense would have no excuses with this OL and these new targets.

Having both Wallace and Torrey Smith doesn't make much sense to me.

That is why I put it in the post that by acquiring Smith it would probably mean trading Wallace next year when we actually get some cap relief.
