Deng can give us 38 minutes if we ask him to. We havent ran him into the ground like Thibs used to, he's got plenty of energy left in the tank. Im not worried.
Heat is only saying nothing conclusive. The last time we had a guy unexpectedly go to the hospital it didn't go so well
That's kind of what it sounds like. According to Goodman he showed up today attempting to practice but the team immediately sent him to the doc who then had him admitted.
Btw Goran wont be available to play until the Pelicans game. So tomorrow we will be a bit short on players but should be fine against the Knicks.
The game is secondary with the Bosh stuff, but we have what, 9 players available? Hassanity, Bird, UD, Wade, Bazz, Rio, TJ, Ennis.... Do we even have a 9th? Who am I forgetting?
We apparently have the easiest strength of schedule for the remainder of the season and 12 of our games, the opponents will be on the second night of a back to back. No other team in the East has more than 8 I believe coming off a back to back. Things are setting up nicely for this run.
The word I saw on twitter was potential pulmonary embolism which would be VERY serious. Career threatening.
If its pneumonia, then he definitely has my sympathy. Not that he wouldn't have my sympathy otherwise, but after having that painful experience....
Seems like every week theres always a new injury or health issue with this team. Just isnt our year I guess. Hope Bosh gets well soon and hope its nothing serious.
https://twitter.com/JohnnyYanes/status/568581583109627905 I traced the source to this: https://twitter.com/Joacossss/status/568548805219639296 Joseph Goodman says Bosh was complaining about a pain in his side near his ribs while in New York, and then he went to Haiti. Spo said that he showed up to practice "a little under the weather" and they sent him to the doctor for tests on Wednesday. He was not at practice today. But today he's at the hospital undergoing tests, and "nothing is conclusive". I can tell you that the pain near the ribs is how pulmonary embolisms often present. Though the pain can become quite extreme.
Incidentally Zoran Dragic is totally a guy that would fit better in a pickup basketball game at your neighborhood. And not even necessarily the best player in the pickup game.
Pulmonary embolism gives shortness of breath though, and I don't remember Bosh experiencing that along with his pain in the ribs. Would have been hard for him to play with shortness of breath. It also usually comes from DVT and I don't think Bosh has had any leg related complains lately. Let's hope that was just twitter smoke and it's nothing as serious as that.
Serena Williams had a pulmonary embolism in March 2011 and returned to competition that summer and is still going strong today. If that's what this is he's almost certainly out for the season but it shouldn't be career threatening. God, how did this celebratory day come to this. Get well Boshy Bear
Yeah calf pain and swelling is a symptom of DVT but it gets worse and worse and spreads through the leg, they'd have known about it if it was. Put pulmonary embolism main symptom aside from chest pain is shortness of breath and Bosh being an athlete would have been really affected by this. I didn't hear anything about him having shortness of breath recently.
I know what it is..and as of 2 hours ago...nobody knew what it was. and nobody but his Doctor and the Team would know and no source in that position would release confidential medical info till they want to. I DO know his symptoms though. I have a report going in the club level.
Man, hope the guy get better...is it not more common for big men to have heart issues? Hopefully it is just a precaution.
