I can definitely see Detroit sending some second round picks Phoenix's way to sweeten the deal for us.

They also included a first round pick in that trade. Not sure why.

I think the trade would be

Miami: 2 first round picks to Phoenix, Norris Cole to Detroit
    Detroit: Jerebko to Phoenix
    Phoenix: Goran to Miami

Jerebko is the expiring that would qualify to match salaries with Phoenix.

If Cole goes to OKC it's being reported Lamb could be coming back. Lamb and Dragic? Not a bad haul if they can make it happen.

I get the feeling the Cole trade is unrelated and maybe people just want to connect the dots on Dragic, which I still doubt happens.

There is nothing Debby Downer about trading Cole. If you can get anything of value for him, that's a win.

I want Dragic, but if the Heat pull Jeremy Lamb for Norris Cole it would be a good day.

Holding on to a player, hurting your locker room, and losing that player for nothing in the offseason out of spite shows you care more about your ego than what's best for your team. The Suns deserve to continue to wallow in mediocrity if that's true.

Lamb's an interesting player. He can shoot. And in college he was actually a pretty damn good defender because of his length. There's something to work with there. He's only 22 years old. The Thunder have been jerking him around, mismanaged imo.

At the very least either Lamb or Dragic (or both) are a boost to the 3pt shooting. Without LeBron facilitating and serving up wide open looks, Cole is lost and inefficient on offense. Love the kid's defense, but with Wade and Whiteside's games, we need to hit from behind the arc.

That guy tweeted it based on a fake Woj account, so that is fake. Chalmers wasn't pulled, Norris likely wasn't pulled. Media is banned from practice today to leave the players alone.

The SUN Sports Reid is the best. The 790 radio Reid is the worst.

I'm actually shocked they're doing a current story. They're usually pretty bad about consistently doing yesterday's news.
Ethan Skolnik might be the saving grace of that show, and even then it's still unlistenable.

    Okay this I don't like...

ESPN reporting Heat's pitch for Goran Dragic is Norris Cole, Josh McRoberts, Birdman and two first-round picks.

it's a three team deal. He has to be related, because the Heat needs somebody's asset to complete the money.

    That trade does not work.

It looks like Phoenix is including Gerald Green in the deal.

For all those players, it'll have to be Dragic AND someone else to make the salaries work. Dragic and Gerald Green for instance.

That's not ideal, but I'd be on board with that trade. Birdman has been playing well and McRoberts is intriguing long-term, but that would open up a ton of money and would land a very good player.

It works with Gerald Green included. I'd do it.

Bird is the only guy I'd consider a "loss"

By the way, if that reported offer is correct and the Suns turn that down to keep Dragic out of spite, that would be pretty ridiculous. That's not fair market value, but that's a lot of assets. Far better than losing him for nothing and having a locker room issue for the rest of the season while they try and make a playoff push.

Yeah, Stein says the Suns are still engaging other teams. If that's true, they're just trying to squeeze the best deal they can

Ok...remember that 3:00pm is not an actual "deadline".

You can call in to the league and say you have a deal in place before 3pm and not have to reveal the names till 4:00pm when the League calls back.

So the REAL drop dead deadline in 4:00pm.

Per Suns beat writers: Dragic not on players bus to airport for flight to Minneapolis. He could still catch the staff bus after the deadline if nothing happens but.....

I'm gonna go ahead and call it.....

I heard a month ago, that OKC liked Roy "The Trash Can" Hibbert a lot.

Now there is a rumor that Indiana loves Reggie Jackson....

I say it gets done. The Trash Can for Reggie Jackson and filler.
