Looking for any takers on DE Margus Hunt $1,001,209 (-$524,946). Was a 2nd round pick in 2013 but has struggled to get PT because of the depth at end. With Dunlap, Ryan Davis and Gilberry, that'll be the case again, so he's expendable. To be honest, he'll likely be a cut if we don't find a taker. I'd imagine he'd go for more than the minimum, maybe not. But if you need DE depth with a guy that still has a high ceiling (6-8, 275...only played for 6 years), this could be a good chance to buy low on a guy and avoid using one of your valuable bids once FA begins. DM if interested. If not, Mr. Hunt is off to the chopping block.
the zombie apocalypse is coming... but instead of zombies.. they are dumb ****s... slight difference.
Did someone say dead cap? $31 million and counting (Yes that noise was Boik gasping for air like he just got kicked in the nuts repeatedly). In other news Dallas is happy to announce they have acquired 2 year veteran developing corner and two time special teams pro bowler Justin Bethel for the 211th pick. We look forward to the boost he will give our already excellent special teams play.
Good kid out of Presbyterian, he should be a dependable special teams ace for a few more seasons and maybe he gets a shot at doing more at corner or safety.
Could go worse for a 5th guy. I figure since I'm keeping my kickers I might as well keep my special teams up...even if that means dick all around here.
exactly why I traded for Bruton right after I got rid of Bethel (good thing Broncos offered him, and I was like hell yeah, I just lost my special teams ace, might as well grab his replacement)
edited the 2.133 to 2.33 lol. always good negotiating with you too Fin-O. I feel like every one of our trades in the past 3 years have taken days to come together. Have fun with your new beast.
I keep getting distracted by the Katy Perry GIF. Normally not a fan, but that does it for me...for some strange reason.
Are we missing something on the Mike Wallace dead money thing being zero? I don't think Jax gets hit with the dead money but it's not zero to you...
I thought this was only the second time he was move to. So the Dead money would belong to the Ravens if he got moved again.
Jags had the $0 dead money number on their dead page. Theres no dead money on this trade. If I trade him Im not sure if there would be dead $
Mike Wallace has $9,600,000 Dead Money penalty as noted in the roster.xls file and on the Dolphins team page. Dolphins traded Wallace to Jaguars - no dead money for Miami Jaguars trade Wallace to Ravens - no dead money for Jacksonville Ravens will incur dead money on any future transaction with Wallace.
Good to know but given that i have no wr's anyway aside from wallace and lattimer...doubt ill be moving him lol
are you kidding? Dez Bryant mom will take Brian Hartline's money in the exchange as she gives him a lifetime supply of half and halfs... therefore the cap charge gets reverted to Miami...
