I think it started when the NFL fined Brent for missing something...

Good for her. She's not an employee of the NFL. She can say what she wants.

    Freedom of speech.

I thought she made some good points. The NFL talks a big game when it comes to domestic situations but Grimes goes and sees his sick wife in the hospital and he gets his pay docked? I would be calling BS too.

Why in the hell would anyone care ...or have issues with Miko?

She speaks her mind, and defends Brett. If you dont care for it, then just dont listen.

Because she is indirectly threatening the team we care about.

I love Grimes as a player, just wish he didn't come with all the baggage. He should be embarrassed.

Not only does the NFL need more people like Miko Grimes, the entire effing country needs more too.

There's not one damn thing wrong with a strong woman speaking the truth publicly.

Some of her rants are reasonable, some are just stupid and none of her business. revealing other players that didn't correctly go through concussion protocols? that's the business of those players, not her business to reveal. for that, she needs to STFU. the complaining about her husband not getting MVP? purely subjective, and outside of dolphins fans, only mildly justified.
I don't have a problem with strong women speaking out, more power to them. but if I was a woman, I wouldn't want an idiot speaking out for me.
[EDIT] I do agree with her ranting about the treatment of Brent for leaving, with permission, to go see her after her oral surgery. that's just plain stupid of the NFL to penalize him for that. especially since it's just the stupid probowl

The fact that OTHER people care about her opinion THIS much proves that maybe some things have some substance.

I love it. Sometimes she says stupid things, but she's completely right
, here. She's standing up for not just Brent, but for most guys who play this game.

    Agree with that 100%.

Don't agree that a lot of what she rants about is truth. I think it's great she defends and sticks up for her husband. No problem with her expressing concern about concussions for players. I don't like the stuff she says that undermines the Miami Dolphins players (the Tannehill stuff awhile back) and threatens the franchise. I might not be a big Philbin fan or a fan of some of the other coaches, but it seems like she's definitely threatening them, unless she somehow has inside knowledge about other coaches in the league.

I have no problem with anyone expressing their opinion.

I do disagree with Miko when she states her husband deserved to win the MVP award in the game. Perhaps she failed to notice that Watts had an interception and a fumble recovery in the game. That certainly would overshadow the one interception by Grimes.

As far as the rest of her comments are concerned, she is absolutely correct in calling out the NFL for fining her husband for putting his family first. There are a lot of hypocrites running the NFL and the man at the top is the biggest hypocrite of all.

Miko is also 100% correct that her husband will not see the $16,000,000 for the final two years of his contract. His age and the salary cap will cause the Dolphins to ask him to restructure the contract or they will just cut him after next season.

Miko should be mad at the NFL players association for agreeing to allow teams to void player contracts. If they hadn't agreed to this provision in the contract talks, her husband and every other player would be entitled to every dollar they signed for in their contracts.

How NFL owners are able to bargain for non guaranteed contracts in the collective bargaining agreement is still one of the great mysteries to me. Eventually the players will wise up and hire someone to run the players association who will stand up to the owners and get the players the guaranteed contracts they deserve.

Maybe not, but it's social media where opinions are broadcasted...people can choose to ignore it if they would like. I'm not saying she is reporting groundbreaking events here, but I also think some truth is in there somewhere.

Her husband plays in the NFL. So I would assume she probably has inside knowledge that the average fan would have no way of knowing from reading the papers or conversing on the Internet.

Of course. So I'm saying she's indirectly threatening to out Dolphin coaches about something. I don't know maybe they deserve to be outed, depending on what it is she knows.

When I said inside knowledge about other coaches I was stating it must be about Dolphin coaches. Maybe old Falcon coaches. Odds she knows much about coaches on other teams wouldn't be very good.

I have less issue with this rant, and more issue with what she said about Tannehill and players opinions of him a couple months back. I don't like when what she says hurts the Miami Dolphins or undermines the team.

Its not Brent Grimes making a statement, its his wife and I completely understand her being T'd off. If Jason Garrett gave him the time off to be with his wife having emergency surgery where does Goodall come off fining him for taking the time off. The more I hear of Goodall the more I dislike him.

Personally I would be happy for her to come out with anything truthful which might cause Ross and Tannebaum to reconsider if Philbin should remain the coach of the team.

I thought he should have been fired already and to me all the 2015 season is about is trying to determine if he will be fired during the season or at the end of the season.

As far as her comments regarding Tannehill. If that is the way the players feel about him, I have no problem with her stating it. It is up to Tannehill to change the perception of his teammates.

So far in three years as the starting QB, his team has a sub 500 record. While he certainly doesn't deserve all the blame for their losing record, he needs to prove to his teammates that he can lead them to victory when the game is on the line in the 4th quarter and the game is on the line.

I don't think his teammates have confidence in him in those situations and only he can change the view that he isn't clutch when the game is on the line.

To everyone that supports my rant, THANK YOU! My language is the ONLY part i regret. There were no lies! None! I spoke the truth! I will always ride for my man! He deserves more respect and so do a lot of other players! I didnt like the league he plays for b4 i met him and i still dont, but it is what it is. He has a job to do! He will do his job, regardless of my opinion. He's a professional. Several of u think he's not a man bc he wont slap me and tell me to shut up. Actually, it takes a strong man to be with a woman like me. I speak my mind, i keep it a buck at all times and i dont take any ****! He is HAPPY to be with a woman like me! He calls me RARE! A DYING BREED! Yall really want him to get rid of a woman who has multiple degrees, a retired pro athlete and current sports journalist thats a beast in the gym, the kitchen AND the bedroom? TUH!! Foolish! The haters WISH they had a ride or die bish like me! Thats why u mad, huh? Your bae not dope, is she? Sucks to be you! Worry bout your own house, #TeamGrimey is just fine!

I have absolutely nothing negative to say in regards to her comments. She is certainly entitled to express her views and opinions and the fact her husband is an NFL player should have nothing to do with her ability to express herself.

The last I checked, we still live in a country where everyone is entitled to freedom of speech. I hope she never changes and will always, tell it like it is.

    Go Miko.

She's right about he NFL being all about the $$$, prime example of this is today's Super Bowl PC where they charged fans $30 bucks to come in and watch...well I dunno...nothing....either way donate the money to a local charity, even if morons are willing to pluck down money for a non-fan event. But you know the NFL is pocketing it.

Who on earth is she baggage for? She is a non player of the team expressing her opinions! Do you consider Omar Kelly baggage to this team? Give me a break. She is a very opinionated person and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.
