Maybe if you read the sentence correctly"the skins are on the cuspid of a improved playoff contender".. And yes they were a playoff team last season,, the skins really showed up for the game to,,, 35 to 14...

Really? Maybe you should check the skins won loss record again...
    They were 9-7!

Considering the roster purge this is a unfair question.. But it will be very interesting to see how J Zorn (with absolutely zero experience even as an assitant) will fair this season.. I guess we will find out if a completely inexperienced h-c can make the playoffs (let alone win) with a mediocre group of veterans,, oh that's right they have playoff experience ... LOL with that..

Yeah and your point? So you measure how good a team will be by the quantity of "pro bowlers" are on their roster LOL.. And I guess that the Saints in 06 just lucked out being able to climb within 1 game of the s-b in 06 after posting a 2 and 14 record the year before.. Wonder how many pro bowlers were on their roster?

JT can feel anyway he wants to about anything he wants to... But that doesn't mean that he is right or that we as fans cannot voice our disapproval of his opinions...

No body in this thread has stated that what maybe is making JT jittery about being in Washington is not just being a PS contender... but Wahington is in one of the biggest media markets in the nation...

Dan Snyder, I believe has his own communication network (Snyder Communications), and has numerous contacts in the public media. Jason is sure eyeing that part of his post football career. Also he is only a few hours from NYC... With his latest media venture, what a great opportunity to keep his face in the limelight...

Can't say that he is just extremely happy to be part of a football team...

Ok, real quick, that fact that there was a "roster purge" is not only fair but kind of the point, it means the Phins are rebuilding and is the reason that JT was traded. Yes, one of the ways to see how good a team is by the number of pro bowlers on the roster. Is it the be all end all? No. But, trading the only player good enough to be a Pro bowler is also a sign of rebuilding. (yes I know Ginn was third alternate punt returner or some such, if he doesn't make the nfl.com roster he doesn't count though)

The Skins have a lot of young players in key positions and made the playoffs by winning their last 4 in a row, including wins against the two best teams in their division, a division which many consider the best in football. Are they New England Patsies? No, but they aren't the worst team in football either, which, if you didn't catch last season was the Miami Dolphins. There is a reason we picked first.

I don't think we turn it around in one season. I'd love it if we did, but If I had to bet my mortgage on records, I'm taking Washington. There is a reason that the Saints turn around was so remarkable.

I don't get it :D He said nine times the number of wins miami did. That is factually correct.

The way I see it, training camp is just about upon us, days were getting numbered for JT to go ANYWHERE, so the Skins call, "what do you want for him"? Maybe JT felt like time was running out, and the teams to go to would only get worse in the future.....he's in a better situation than holding out for a trade and not playing at all, his new team has the potential for making the playoffs, crazier things have happened in the NFL.
