That's not as bad as it looks. For one, we're usually pretty solid offensively-speaking while playing in Miami. Plus, we were 2 and 1 at home against the only 3 teams we played on that list until today when the defense absolutely proved it sucked. We beat NE at home. We beat Buffalo at home. We lost to Baltimore at home. And of course today, we made Geno Smith look like Jesus Christ. Anyway, by contrast, our road games don't look very hard at all and I think we could easily wind up with 4-5 wins at home. I think our 2015 schedule will wind up being easier than what we faced this year honestly.

I no longer blame south floridians for not attending these games. This team may have the worst home field advantage in the league.
I predicted 8-8 next year , as soon as I read that Philbin was returning after last weeks game. Now after seeing their home schedule, 8-8 might just be a bit too optimistic .
I wonder if it's high-time we start asking ourselves if South Florida has something to do with why rebuilding has been so hard. Maybe the players don't work as hard in Miami. We've constantly seen players' production dip during their stints with Miami. I'm not making excuses, but I think it's fair to say that Miami might be the worst city in which to own an NFL team. The fans generally don't care and the city is full of distractions for the players.
Four games against playoff opponents. We had three games against playoff teams this year. Doesn't look that much more difficult than this season.
The NFL is always changing. Of course, the problem with that schedule is the teams on it rarely do. No way the Giants have a season as bad as they had this year, that is an organization that knows how to turn it around quickly, like PITT, GB, Indy. Colts are another consistent playoff contender. New England. Baltimore rarely implodes and after 2 playoff-less seasons will be out for blood. And I shudder to think what JJ Watt will do to the O-Line and Tannehill. The only ones you could think go from contenders to bust would be Dallas or Buffalo...maybe. And its a good thing the MIA-NYJ game is in London...have people not watched how GENO SMITH has gone to Miami to have two of the best games of any NFL QB the past two years?
I know it's crazy but sometimes I think we give players like EJ Manuel and Geno Smith confidence by allowing them to not only get a win but do it in style. We make them look good once by being stupid and subsequently they become our worst nightmare. They suck against everyone else but turn into confident play-makers the night before we come to town.

I lived in South Florida for over 50 years and I can assure you the fans are not the reason this team is not succeeding on the field. South Florida fans have always been about winning. They will not support a losing or mediocre team. That is the way it has always been and that is the way it remains today. It has also been a city which offers distraction to players who look for these distractions, rather than work to be the best they can be. Of course the fans and these distractions didn't prevent the Heat from winning three championships in the last ten years or the Marlins from winning two World Series since 1997. I think blaming the fans or the distractions in the area are simply a way of excusing the fact that this has simply been a mediocre franchise, run by a clueless owner for the past six years. It is hard to say fans don't care when you have an owner who flies in on weekends for the games and then flies back to his home in New York once the game is over. He cares so little about South Florida, he doesn't even live there. If as you state players don't work as hard in Miami as they do at other NFL locations, that certainly isn't the fault of the fans or the South Florida area. That is the fault of the coaches and the players. Don Shula certainly never found reason to blame the area or the fans if the team wasn't winning. I will also assure you that no team liked playing the Dolphins in Miami when Shula was the head coach. In fact Miami had one of the best home records of all the NFL teams during the time Shula was the head coach. Not many fans went to the old Orange Bowl to watch games before Shula arrived to become the head coach of the Dolphins. Within a few years of his arrival, the stands were packed because the Dolphins were a winning team. Attendance remained high during the Shula years and even after he left. It was only once they became a consistently mediocre team that fans lost interest in going to see them play at home. It is the responsibility of the New York owner of the Dolphins to hire a quality front office and coaching staff to turn this team into a consistent winner if he expects more fans to show up for games. I think many fans have lost interest in this team because they have no faith in the owner or the people he has hired to run this organization. As you stated earlier, there are a lot of distractions in the area and when the Dolphins have been so mediocre for so many years, fans also get distracted and just decide to pursue other activies while the game is being played. If Ross wants fans to show up for the games, he needs to put a better product on the field. What he has provided for the last six years just isn't worth the price of admission, IMO.
That Jets' home game is usually an automatic loss. Now it's in London, where anything is possible. I wish they could play the Ravens in London, as well.
Does it really matter? The Dolphins have never been able to beat the Texans, no matter where the game has been played. In fact the Dolphins couldn't even beat the Texans when they were a first year expansion team.
tremendous parity within the NFL... who really knows what next year will bring with any of these teams. personally, I like tough schedules & don't see this one as that difficult.
So Dolphins london game is at 630 am west coast time. Screw you Roger. Roger Goodell, more like Roger Badell.
Could be worse. I mean....Buffalo and NE don't count. We play them at home every year. I think we can beat Baltimore even though we never do it. I think Houston is beatable, giants are beatable. I think we can beat NE and Buffalo at home. Jets in London. Let's say we take 5 (NYJ, HOU, NE or BUF, NYG, BAL or IND).....Beat (WAS, NYJ (New coach, hope we sweep), JAX, TEN) on the road...that's 9 wins. Now, I doubt this will all happen. It'll be 8-8 probably, but I don't think its a great giant we have to slay. Better place the AFC South than the AFC West/AFC North.
You guys get to watch most games at 10am every week until having to wait until the afternoon! I think that must be such a perk of living in the Pacific time zone. One week isn't going to kill you, I think. I'm excited about it. I'd love to be able to watch games that early every week.
See I rather 12 games because you can get drunk Saturday and still sleep in. Perfect time for me would be 11am. It especially sucks if you want to go some where to watch the game, have you wake up even earlier
The bad part is............the rest of the league says this about US. We have become the very beatable team on THEIR schedule.......at least from their fans point of view.
I guess it depends on your lifestyle. At 37 and married with two kids 3yo and under, 6am (EST) is sleeping in for me, lol. I also can't safely get drunk any more as a diabetic, but even when I did I'd rarely sleep in past 8am or so. I've always been a morning person.
That may be optimistic. We could go 2-6 at home, as painful as that is to say. A repeat of 2011 is just as likely too. Depressing.
its gonna take special players to win in this town and in that stadium. hope is the construction of the venue will change the dynamics of the crowd.
That's what they make DVR's for. Wake up and just start watching and don't have to sit through the commercials. 6:30 am works out great. Plus they're playing in SD this year. Only a 1 hour drive.
Well, we have to play them someplace. If balt was on the road as well, that would be 3 games I can see, plus I'm thinking seriously about seeing the Jets home game as well.
