Who was a steal in my FD lineup!!! Heat players have been good to this Knicks fan. Although if I would've went Bosh over Love (I pondered this a good 10 min) then I would've had a 5 figure score. :pity:

I don't expect him to keep up with the points production, his offensive game is a bit ugly and that hook shot is flat... But I do expect him to continue rebounding at a high level and shot blocking, which is all we really need at Center.

    Yep.

Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving should be more than enough to not get blown out by the Kings.

Blatt is in so far over his head it's ridiculous. I feel for the guy. He probably would have been good as the coach of a young, developing team with no expectations but he was nowhere near ready for this, and it doesn't help that a certain "King" completely ignores him, and has milked an injury for 3 weeks to hang out in Miami and avoid the entire situation.

And i'm sorry, he's a tremendous talent, but Kevin Love is a complete loser. Complete loser. I laughed when people said he was the 6th or 7th best player in the league. When I heard that my first thought was that there must not be as many good players in the league as I thought.

In all seriousness, LeBron has to regret the move, at least on a basketball level, no? I mean, he may prefer running the joint in Cleveland, but for as much as he cares about winning, you can't tell me that he doesn't see a healthy, rejuvenated Wade, and the dominating Pau Gasol that we would've had and not regret leaving

Love isnt the loser on that team. Hes the winner. He hasnt complained about his role despite the abundantly clear fact hes being used entirely incorrectly especially on the games hes not being used at all. Love is the 2nd best player on that team. The problem is Kyrie thinks hes the 1st best. Hes good but when your pg is shooting 25x a game hes certainly not getting anyone else involved.

Love may not have vocally complained, but all you have to do is watch him to see he's essentially checked out.

Ethan Skolnick amongst others have brought up his constant pouting

If you had a coach who had no clue how to utilize you and a PG who was a shoot first PG with a scorers mentality in a contract year you would probably complain to. Hes right. Hes not being utilized right. Hes a highly efficient player, much more so then Irving, and he should be featured in the offense. What Lebron and the Cavs seem to not understand is that in this offense, Lebron has to be the dominant wing scorer and Irving, by nature of being a PG should be the distributor but I dont think lebron feels comfortable in that role just watching his career. If hes checking out, I hear NY is a nice destination. Im sure Phil can figure out how to use him.

People called me delusional when I said Bosh is better than Love.... Lol Kevin Love is Boozer with a longer range... Gives up defense for rebounds.

Not anymore. That used to be all we needed at center because LeBron would take care of the rest. Now we actually do need offensive production from center, in addition to defense and boards.

Whiteside does all of the above and plays well next to Bosh. That's perfect for this roster now.

Honestly, I'm starting to believe LeBron left for Cleveland to take a break from all the hard work, structure, accountability required and general oversight here in Miami.

At best, he truly believes he can win without any of those things in Cleveland. Kinda makes me wonder if he truly learned anything in his time here.

I dont think his offensive game is good enough to keep up 15 ppg, hope he proves me wrong. If hes giving us 12/12 with 2 blocks Ill be happy with that. Thats like having Camby in his prime here, and next to Bosh thats pretty damn good.

The great thing is he hasnt even gone through our offseason conditioning/strength program... We will make him look like a new man in the offseason.

I haven't watched Whiteside in Miami yet other than highlights, but I did watch a game with him and Shabazz in the D-league. He actually hit a few Bosh-esque fade-aways in that game that impressed me and makes me think he might have a more diverse offensive game that what I've seen in the highlights. I think that he's a quick jumper which helps with rebounding and blocks and also with those those quick put backs. I expect that that part of his game should continue regardless of how teams adjust to guard him. I think he's a pretty impressive athlete. I was surprised to hear he was a 7-footer b/c he moves more like a smaller C. He seems to have decent hands. At a minimum they're no worse than Birdman's so that should translate to the same alley-oop opportunities that Bird usually got. And I would say he finishes at least as well as Bird.

I honestly think he left mostly for marketing reasons, he was turned into a villain for leaving Cleveland four years ago and he wanted people across America to embrace him again. He listened to the wrong people and it appears he made a mistake.

They're very different players. Bosh is a true center IMO while love is limited to being a PF. Love has done things offensively that Bosh hasn't and can't. The best comparison for Love is Dirk.

    From Habertroh:

Hassan Whiteside is avg. 16ppg, 14 rebs, 4 blks. per 36.

Guys in NBA history to average that per 36: Kareem, Dream, Shaq, Bill Walton, Robert Parrish.

Whiteside also has the highest Block % in NBA History.

    The Hall of Fame awaits.

As far as comparing anybody to Dirk...why not the best shooter above 6'-9" in the NBA the last 2 years not named Kevin Durant? Hint....he gets a lot of Dinosaur jokes.

Tyler Johnson won't play at all I bet, no idea why you won't play the guy to see what he has to give. Go through the two ten day contracts then cut him most likely.

Im fine with it as long as Whiteside still gets 30 minutes. If he sees any less minutes Im going to be pissed. If he sees anything near 20 or less ima call for Spo's head and I like Spo but thats just stupid.

Looks like all it did was piss off Harden...15 points in the first quarter. I would say he'd score 40 tonight, but i'm expecting a blowout by the end of the 3rd quarter. He probably will be sitting the 4th.
