Why the hell not then.. That was the best thing going around here after the roller coaster of expectations of the first half of the season. We have an elite player on our roster, let us enjoy it until he jumps ship to a contender haha
hah.. may as well ask for the Survivor game to be brought back while we're on the verge of losing our powers.
ah.... then you're one that doesn't know my secret... trade for Jeremy Zuttah... seek out Sean for every other trade.
San Francisco Sends: Michael Crabtree ($4,770,443) 1st (30) 2nd (61) 3rd (75 (from RAMS)) 7th (219) 7th (220) Browns Send: Josh Gordon ($1,456,813) #30 ended up being WR Kelvin Benjamin taken by KC #61 ended up being G Joel Bitonio taken by NE #75 ended up being CB Marcus Roberson taken by PHI #219 ended up being QB Jeff Matthews taken by CLE #220 ended up being K Chris Boswell taken by CLE
Detroit Sends Matt Stafford 2nd Rd (2.45 Mod edit) Larry Warford Ezekiel Ansah Suh Dominic Raola Rams Send Kendall Langford TJ Yates Stedman Bailey James Lauranitis #1 overall #2 overall #1 ended up being WR Sammy Watkins taken by BUF #2 ended up being DE Jadaveon Clowney taken by MIA #45 ended up being OLB Jeremiah Attaochu taken by NYJ Which I find funny that all those picks were made by AFCE teams... that and DET ended up with Johnny Manziel as their QB, after busting on Geno Smith with pick #5 the year before. DET much like FinO is cursed at drafting QBs.
Washington sends: Robert Griffin III QB $5,759,754 Cleveland sends: 1st (4) 3rd (83) #4 ended up being LB Khalil Mack taken by WAS #83 ended up being RB Lache Seastrunk taken by WAS Homered on the first, whiffed on the later (especially with Jeremy Hill taken just 5 picks later)
Houston sends: JJ Watt $3,575,567 Detroit sends: Round 1 - Pick 10 Round 4 - Pick 107 MLB Stephen Tulloch $5,050,000 SS Glover Quin $4,550,000 #10 ended up being LB Anthony Barr taken by NO #107 ended up being DT Kelcey Quarles taken by CLE This one is a close one, but I would say DET still won out because it's friggin JJ Watt. Now if they weren't dopes and let Suh go, scary DLine fo'sho.
Dolphins/Eagles Eagles send: LT Jason Peters $10,292,000 OLB Connor Barwin $4,900,000 Dolphins send: OLB Dion Jordan $4,675,522 3.71 #71 ended up being FS Terrence Brooks taken by HOU. Dolphins homerism? Cap clearing move? You decide.
I just want to say Peter Kiper has succumbed to his alcoholism... He will be spending the remainder of the offseason at the bar and will most likely not be doing any reporting, other than to the bartender. "Oooh she made us drinks, we drunk them, got drunk"
Yah I probably shouldn't have traded him....but the amount of spots he ended up filling for me was great. I got promising young corner Jeremy Lane with that 4th rounder. Damn injury slowed his ascension to Seattle's nickle spot. It gets messy after that but the trade down from 10 helped land Alterraun Verner (Jackson was a throw in later that I didn't really have to do) and the further traded down picks landed Junior Galette. So for me it was Tulloch/Quin/Verner/Galette and Lane.
Im actually looking forward to sitting back and watching the crazy stuff that happens in this league.... ever other subforum on this site is utterly depressing except for the Lounge which is dead.
It turned out to be a great trade for you. I was clearing some cap but didn't think highly of barwin, who had a great year. Thought Jordan would break out too but be a good match with eagles D
