Hopefully its porter. Be nice to see him earn that big fat paycheck he's getting  I'd love to see Merling or Langford really show up and surprise this year. Man it would be awesome to have a draft pick like those guys work out right away for us and become a dominant player

We barely got there with him, so you think we'd be ok without him? This is a serious question. We were 1-15, there were no big plays except one or two, all year. He did have an INT against NE that I believe, made them bring Brady back into the game.

I think that t-c will answer numerous questions about where this team is at.

I refuse to drink the Parcells koolaid,, just yet but I also refuse to let these self adorned experts predict complete DOOM for this team because JT is in a skins uniform or from what transpired last season!

My picks are Porter and Moses. Moses as a special pass rusher and Porter always has around 6 or more sacks in a season. However, I'm not sure if we will have more a player who has more than 8 sacks.

Yeah one of our best players was a big reason why Miami sucked last season:pity:

You are a very knowledgeable poster but some things you say I can't help but shake my head, sure he is gone now and you didn't like what he did this off-season along with many other Dolfans but to say we are better off without him is fiction. He is still a top defensive player in this league.

if you are speaking purely of talent then you may have a point. Taylor in Miami was going to be a malcontent. a declining malcontent at that. i do not believe that the drop off is going to be that severe. this team may lack in the glitzy stats this year, but i am willing to bet that this team is going to be tough. broken plays and QB hurries are going to be the name of this D's game this season. Black & Blue.

I don't get this declining stuff. You can make a highlight reel of all the best defenders and show them getting chipped and such. If not, they'd have 100 sacks. Michael Strahan was thought of to be declined, gone, done for. Skipped TC, no way he comes back and contributes. And he's 3 years older.

a guy gets 11 sacks, and then it's discounted because none of them were big. on a 1-15 team, absolutely nothing can be big except the one that resulted in a win. All of ronnie's runs and TDs? None of them were big. Maybe if he ran a little harder, a bit longer, scored one more TD, we win a game earlier.
