Obviously that's an unselfish thing but it's not like he hasn't made his money or that he won't in endorsements either. I think QBs have to be held to a higher standard. They get to play for 20 years if they want. They are the most protected and have the longest careers. If you're a WR you have what, maybe a 12-year window if you're really good? A RB has what? Maybe a 5-year window to be "great" and get paid for it too? I guess he gets a little golf clap from me but if you play QB I think you have to be flexible like that. It's only reasonable if you value winning.
Dude married up. He could play til he's 60 and wouldn't make more than her. They just buy Ugg boots with his checks anyways.
Pretty easy to do that when you marry a woman that at one time was the top super model in the world. That family honestly has too much money to spend.
Complain about him but most pro athletes seek the most money possible. And most of Brady's calibre in the NBA or MLB make more than Brady and its all guaranteed. And, they never want less - they want to max out and get into billionaire status. So, regardless of how much money Gisele has, Brady has taken a risk because his contract is no longer skill based but only injury based. That can be a big deal at his age. And, he puts himself at risk of being released at age 38, 39, washed up. It was a big team first move, regardless, and he should be commended - especially in this age. He's a team player and that's one big reason - along with BB and his skill - the Pats are still hugely significant in the NFL. I remember about 3-4 years ago there was talk on here of the Pats diminishing importance and impending demise. But, in fact, they have remained relevant and are probably as good as they have been since probably 2007, assuming they remain healthy for the playoffs. Not a Pats fan but I can respect them and wish we had those kinds of players and that kind of coach.
