There is more .Its worth a read.Who is worth keeping and who should be let go.I would like to see Odrick and Clay retained but not at exorbitant contracts. The rest can go as far as I am concerned unless they sign for close to the minimum. They are partly responsible for the mediocre season IMO. http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/nfl/miami-dolphins/article5048268.html
I think Moreno should get one more look. The guy was having a hell of a season before the injury. On top of that, the injury was not detrimental to him as a running back. He should be brought back with Odrick and possibly Charles Clay. I'm also glad that Cameron Wakes name didn't come up. The fact that some people have suggested that he be moved is beyond ludicrous in my opinion. If one man deserves to be a Dolphin for life, it's him.
I like Moreno and we need help at RB but he has proven to be injury prone. There will be plenty of RBs in the draft and FAs available. Its not a difficult position to fill.
Adequate at C but he is not a good G .However I would keep him as Pounceys backup at close to the vet minimum which I think he would accept.
I would only keep Satele if he's willing to be a backup; he shouldn't be starting. I'd also add Philip Wheeler to the list. He's hardly been used since calling out Kevin Coyle after the Packers game, and if Coyle is back and is serious about moving Dion Jordan to OLB, Philip Wheeler's spot is where Jordan would fit.
Colledge - CUT Matt Moore - KEEP Louis Delmas - CUT Jimmy Wilson - CUT Knowshon Moreno - KEEP only if cheap Daniel Thomas - CUT LaMichael James - Didn't see enough to know. Jared Odrick - KEEP if planning to let Starks go next year. Samson Satele - CUT Jason Fox - Don't care. Charles Clay - KEEP Jason Trusnik - KEEP Kelvin Sheppard - Irrelevant Brandon Gibson - CUT Brian Hartline - CUT Dannell Ellerbe - CUT Randy Starks - Trade if possible, as I'd let him walk after next year anyways. Shelley Smith - KEEP Nate Garner - CUT Cortland Finnegan - Sounds like he will cut himself and retire.
I would roll with Moreno again, he was dominating when he did get a chance to play. Get him at the right price, put him in rotation with Lamar Miller and plug the holes on the OL and at DT. As per the offense, I'm looking forward to TE Arthur Lynch playing next year, very good blocker and a good receiver, just not a seam busting burner. I think that he might make a significant contribution next year.
I want to see all those players gone except for Clay and Shelley Smith. I want to see plenty of cap room available.

Well, I like Moreno, but it's actually that I like what he COULD have done for us. At this point, unless he comes back at a reduced price, it's simply not worth bringing him back...a lot of tread and now injury issues... What you don't want to see happen, is to bring him back at starting salary and see him either not come back fully healthy at the start of the year or not able to make it thru the season uninjured...you end up like we did this year with a guy that know has to have a complementary back to be successful and no one to complement him... As to the others, I'd like to see Fox, Clay and Moore for sure, even if we have to overpay for Moore as our b/u QB and Odrick at the right price...of course, that's relative to who is determining the right price. I think he is a good DE, but not a great one...he and his agent likely think differently... I also wouldn't mind seeing Hartline back. I'm not in the majority, I know, but he's a steady, not spectacular influence at WR....If you have Wallace or Jarvis go down to injury, Hartline is a guy that can fill in admirably, albeit not spectacularly based on this past year... As to Ellerbe, he might be worth bringing back. He was coming on this year very early and then was injured... Wheeler is likely to be back because IIRC, we don't save much against the cap if we cut him.... Whatever happens, we'll have to get some OL and DL help in FA as well as some help in the secondary.
Jesus, why are you yelling? Yeah.....The Moreno signing was looking like a good one before his injury, that's all I was saying.
I don't understand why people think we need a RB so bad? Lamar is averaging right around 4.7 ypc. that's plenty good enough. Problem is we kept abandoning the run...WHEN IT WAS WORKING. Lazor??
Every player on the team is open to up-grade. This should be the philosophy. Otherwise we have situations like Wake being dominant then disappearing. If you believe you will never be replaced it's easy to take plays off. All you have to do is have a brilliant play every now and then to satisfy. Not saying that is the case just that you can not help but wonder. Or the go route that gets run 3/4 speed, or the block that almost was and would have sprung a guy for 10 more yards. Guys got to know they are not exempt.
Because 2 good running backs is better than Lamar and DT/Williams/James. Backs are a dime a dozen these days. I'd rather look for one later in the draft actually.
Lazor says Miller's effectiveness drops off as the game goes down. He wears down, I guess. So we need to platoon him. Also, it would be useful to have a reliable power back for 3rd and 1, 4th and 1 and goalline. Key word there was... reliable.
I can't wait till we cut Finnegan's sorry ***, how he swindled us into giving him 5.5 mil only God knows.
It doesn't matter who stays or who goes. Ross will still be the owner and Philbin will still be the head coach next year. So year four of mediocrity is right around the corner. Can we just skip 2015 and go to 2016, when I have no doubt we will have a new head coach of the Dolphins and hopefully Ross will have decided he no longer wants to be an NFL owner.
Our defense needs a lot of help. It might seem nice to a lot of you to go down the list of players and say cut, cut, cut...but you are going to have to fill those holes. I'm really worried about losing starters at DT, OLB, FS and CB all at once, particularly on the weaker side of the team, too.
It it makes you wonder how bad Jordan is when Vernon and Wake aren't making plays and yet Jordan still can't seem to get much playing time. If Jordan can't come into training camp next year and show he can be a starting OLB on this team, I think it will be time to consider him a bust and see if they can get at least a 6th round pick for him. It actually wouldn't surprise me if he is traded prior to this years draft for a late round pick. The coaches obviously don't have much faith in his ability and Hickey isn't on the hook for the pick, because he isn't the GM who drafted Jordan.
