Jordan's biggest issue is that he has no second gear or explosiveness. He has one gear and thats really working against him as a rusher and potential OLB.

You contrast that with McCain. McCain is a similar frame to Jordan but he has a second gear. He can explode and do it within a second.

I believe that is attributed to being 30lbs overweight.

At 290 lbs or 260 lbs he's not a compelling player at the LOS. He doesn't detach himself well from OL and his repertoire of pass rush moves is limited, bottom line. At the lower weight what made him special was his play in space, where he could pass cover extraordinairily well for a man of his size, his his speed and explosiveness to pass rush well when given a clear path to the QB, excel in sideline pursuit and play the run pretty well when at OLB. Most of that is lost when he's at the LOS in a 3 point stance. Dude is an OLB.

That could have something to do with it. I don't remember the draft from when I was 3 either. :shifty:

Definitely. The 285 lb Jordan cannot accelerate like the natural 250 lb weight Jordan does.

That is usually what a really good coordinator does, and if he doesn't catch it the head coach will but these 2 coaches are an absolute joke. It really disturbs me but basically if the player is in their 1st year with us,with a few exceptions, then they are going to ride the pine. BETTER decisions from " The Queasy Patrol " would have us at 11 wins with a with a game to go. I just do not get Ross' dedication to Philbin..Ross should insist that he tries to bring in Ryan for a Inteview for the DC Position.

Shuckydern, if they think we have too many linebackers, have him drop to 245 and play safety

    Well away from here
Don't touch backs with knee issues. And certainly don't do it if you're going to in the first 4 rounds. Maybe you miss on a guy that is a stud, that's fine I'll stick to those rules for a position that has more quality options than spots required.

I sure hope that Jordan works out at OLB because I'm watching Star Lotulelei destroy Matt Ryan's pocket on a regular basis, play the run like a stud and he just got his second sack of the day. Dude is a monster, and he could have been ours. Without trading away a second round pick. And now one of our biggest draft needs is a run stuffing, pass rushing DT.
