Anybody know the status of Albert's knee?

They used to say it takes a year to recover from an ACL, but in recent years, recovery could be 6-9 mos. He got injured in November. Any reason to think he'll be ready for game 1 of next year?

I asked this weeks ago and have heard nothing as well. Nothing saying he's had surgery, how it went or anything else. Kinda concerning to me like there is something to keep quiet about.

Dallas Thomas got worked and his man fell onto Albert's knee, the Ireland curse is strong.

Generally the 6-9 month time frame is accurate given today's procedure so having him back for game 1 is not an unreasonable hope. I expect that come August he'll be at least running, maybe held out of contact drills.

Hopefully the brass looks at this situation and expects Albert to be out for the first couple weeks/or a month. (even if he might be ready week 1)
This team has proven over the last two years you can't have enough depth on the offensive line.

The only reason Satele was signed this year was b/c the Pouncey injury and Smith proving in camp he could not snap a football ... Imagine how bad the line would have been if he was never signed.

What concerned me in regards to Albert when the Dolphins signed him was he had a history of missing games due to injuries when he was with the Chiefs. Of course no one could have predicted that he would suffer an ACL injury this year.

My concern now is how he will play once he does return from this injury. Jake Long was no longer a dominant LT once he started having leg injuries. Perhaps Albert will be able to return and pick up playing like he did prior to this injury, but I think Hickey has to be cognizant that he needs to have a plan in place in case we don't get the same Albert next year we had this year before he was injured.

The Dolphins need to rebuild most of the LB corp and the secondary going into next year, but adding talented offensive linemen to this roster still appears to be the main priority in the draft or free agency.

Seems to be in good spirits and working on his recovery... was making jokes about betting cars - "Benz" and "rarri" on games.

There was some other twitter chatter with his surgeon. Seems to be progressing fine, which is great news.

I think he could come back and start sooner than a skill position player, but it may take him some time to get back to his old form. Rehabbing a knee would not allow him to maintain his lower body strength as much in the weight room. I think we saw that kind of thing with Pouncey when he came back. Most seem to think he is playing poorly because he is at RG, and if he was put back to Center as soon as he returned we'd have our 2013 pro bowler there. I don't. I think though that his lower body strength atrophied a little, because rehabbing the hip did not include doing him being able to do heavy squats and dead lifts. Pouncey right now is not as strong as Pouncey of 1 year ago and it shows. Albert may be ready by week 1, but I think there is a good chance he won't be as strong in his lower body for a while after that.

I gave you a fist bump for the content in your post and would give you another for your latest sig. You've had some really good ones, but IMO she's one of the best.

Pretty concerned about him coming back; can obviously have an impact on our draft strategy. I'm not concerned about him coming back and being great, he just needs to come back and be solid. Great will be a bonus.

I like her too, but DJ said she looks too skinny to him, after seeing other pix of her. Of course he thinks Nadine Velazquez is plump, so what does he know?

How can we reconstruct the offensive line every ****ing offseason and never be successful while other teams can do it with 4th and 5th round picks. Green Bays line is really good and they have 1 first rounder and the rest a combination of 4th and 5th rounders. So annoying.

I'm confidant that he'll return to form. As was said, 6-9 months is typical, which puts the preseason on the later end of that. Hopefully, he'll be working out by June and be able to get into shape for the season. We have so many other things to fix, we need Albert, Pouncey and James to be set as solid starters on the OL for us.

So much hinges on him returning strong. Man we need him. His loss was pivotal............the bad kind of pivotal.

along the lines of this... I wonder which knee is worse for a left tackle to have an ACL on? I mean his right knee is his push off knee on his kick slide.. but his left knee absorbs all that weight when he shifts...
