It isn't proof, it is you being obtuse because you're not getting your way.

The fact you haven't paid for the team like Ross did, thus allowing him to make these decisions proves you don't care about the team as much as him. Sorry you can't see it.

Vermont is a great state. Only one east of the continental divide I would ever want to live in.

he has just fallen off the face of the earth, and he is dropping a lot of passes which isnt like him. the knee injury has definitely cost him a step.

Let's wait until the offseason. If Philbin is still here, then feel free to call me out in a thread. But, as other people pointed out, I don't think we should use his words as proof that Joe is being retained, giving the timing of the comments.

Why is he even starting? Put Gibson out there and give Hartlines snaps to someone else.

Who says they weren't? They played better teams the last two weeks. Three weeks ago was the win against the Jets.

There is nothing to prevent Ross from changing his mind if the team plays like crap against the Jets.

I wonder what the Wallace haters will have to say about him after this game? There must have been something to complain about. Not fighting for contested passes? Can't go there. Doesn't like to block? Can't go there. Strictly a body catcher? Can't go there either.

    This.

I am a little bummed that he came out and said he was keeping Philbin, but I'll believe Philbin will be coaching next year when I see it. It's not like anyone will call Ross out if he fires Philbin later.

The Dolphins could hire a ficus tree to be their head coach next year and I'd still watch. If I were a season ticket holder, I'd have a bigger decision to make...

Not at all. They're welcome to him at this point. The way he whines after every play, he'd fit right in up there. lol...

It was great to see him have a really good game today. I don't know if I'm included in the Wallace hater group, I believe Finomenal has me in it, but I've said all season I've been happy with his play. I just haven't been happy with the amount we've been paying him. I feel like he's overpaid right now. Loved how he played today, though.

    News & Notes

    • Terrence Fede’s blocked punt was the 5th such block of a field goal or punt by the Dolphins in 2014.
    • It was a career day for Ryan Tannehill throwing the football, as his four passing touchdowns were the most ever in a single game for the 3rd year quarterback.
    • With his 92 yards on the ground today, running back Lamar Miller is now just 79 yards away from his first career 1,000 yard season.
    • With Mike Wallace’s two touchdown catches, he’s caught ten touchdowns on the year. That marks equals his career high during a season, which came with the Steelers back in 2010.
    • Cameron Wake hit the double digit sack mark on the season today, as his two takedowns of Teddy Bridgewater brought him to 11.5 sacks on the year.
    • Jarvis Landry broke Terry Kirby‘s team record for receptions by a rookie Sunday with 79.

His First sack also got himself a $750,000 bonus, according to one of the announcers. Pretty nice pay day for Mr. Wake.

Priority free agents are all relatively overpaid. That is just the way it works now in the NFL. Albert is overpaid too. But, it is not coming out of my pocket, and I am not the one who has to make it all fit under the cap, so it does not matter to me very much. The way some other folks here complain about Wallace's contract, not meaning you necessarily, you'd think Ross was sending them a bill every month for them to pay their share of Wallace's money. :)

The game yesterday was also the first one in NFL history to be decided by a go ahead safety in the final minute of the 4th quarter.

The 2nd sack was unusual for Wake in that he had Teddy around the waist and seemed to spin him around a couple of times before he went down. Usually when Wake gets hold of a QB they drop like a sack of rocks.

Mike Wallace has turned into quite an asset, adjusted his game accordingly. Looking forward to next season and continuing the improvement of the deep connection. Offense is an OL or 2 away from being very good.

Not to mention his salary takes a nice dip next season...5 million less if I remember correctly, so there is that.

Took a look at PFF... they have Wallace at #30 overall on individual play, but #8 overall on their signature stats.

Agree on next season, especially if we can get better pass protection, as well as better production from the X receiver and TE spot to help open things up for Wallace and Landry.

Yes, he made $15M this season ($17.2M Cap). He has the 4th highest WR salary in the NFL.

In 2015, $9.8M ($12.1M Cap), then it jumps back up to $11.4M ($13.7M Cap) in 2016.
