Came the week Joe Philbin was gone the whole week of practice/preparation.

We are a .500 team, and I see so many here saying that every single player on this team is nothing but scrubs. But we are not 0-16, we are 7-7. We are .500. So that means 1 of 2 things guys:

    Either,

    1) This team is all scrubs, and Philbin is a good enough coach to get a bunch of horrible no-talent ***-clowns to reach .500 instead of their bottom feeder potential.

    OR

    2) This team is good enough to have a solid winning record from 10-6 to 12-4, but since we have a coach who does not know where to utilize talent, or how to game plan effectivly around his talent, or how to motivate and lead his talent and make them play with passion, we are brought down and simply a .500 team.

Based on the fact we have been in position two years in a row to make the playoffs, then collapsed. Based on those horrible timeouts against GB, when this Defense had them down to 4th and 10, and based on our dominant performance the one week Philbin was completely absent, based on Odrick yelling at him on the sideline, based on the complaints about the coverage calls against GB, based on the grumblings about Lazor mid-season, plus the obvious eye-test of any man endowed with male parts, who could plainly see this guy is weak, a bad communicator, and not a leader from the first episode of hard knocks, I say its Philbin that is the problem.

The collapse in the 2nd half today? the collapse last year? that is not b/c the players just suck so bad physically they can't keep up. If they don't have "heart" it is not because they were born with no vital blood pumping organ, it is b/c Philbin has no heart, and the team is not playing for the man.

I say axe Philbin, give Hickey another year to get talented players on this team to fill out the ranks and add depth, and get us a FOOTBALL HEAD COACH, to get these guys playing like men.

San Diego. Philbin was gone a few days that week due to his father passing. We prepared just fine (BETTER) without him.

The game was also a blowout, so there was no game management involved... that always seems to be a sore spot for boring Joe.

or, we kicked the hell out of them with the coordinators gameplanning themselves, and the players having a good week of practice, with either joe not making it a bad week, or with him not mattering at all.

It's pathetic that we beat the Chargers 37-0 & they'll be in the postseason and we won't.

I was not aware Philbin was not there.

Good lord ........37-0. I don't need no other information to know what needs to happen.

I watched the game and thought to myself if these guys could play like this every week they could go very deep into the playoffs

all I can say is WOW

Why would you say that? They'll be 8-6 after this week.
and finishing at San Fran and against Kansas City. I wouldn't bet on them, that's for sure.

Yeah, It was pretty interesting, I started having some bad doubts that week, b/c in his presser Philbin literally said

"well i kinda just showed up gameday"

Right there i was like hmmmmmmm. . .

I miss Chad Pennington. Statistically the most accurate passer in NFL history. He didn't need to run to make plays he just sat in the pocket & fooled the defense.

The only thing I can fall back on is that we seemed to lose to good teams that we knew going in would be very tough to beat.

I would say that it's surprising we were even close in half of those contests. I thought Green Bay, Denver and New England (today) would blow us out. I was only right once.

What sucks was watching the Bills rally today to beat the Packers. We could've done the same but we came up short.

At this point, our offense does enough but our defense just sucks. I didn't want to believe it but we've turned into chokers on defense.

We just flat out don't have 11 good starters on defense.

for me its hard because I am in Atlanta. They really don't even cover the Falcons less alone a team 900 miles away...LOL
