I'm surprised. He seems willing to play if the Dolphins will have him, but doesn't believe the Dolphins will want him. And he's not playing anywhere else. http://hrld.us/1z3RzEC
His play was much better this year(when healthy) than when he was with St. Louis. But his is getting older and is injury prone, as we were gonna need new CB depth next year anyway. Wish him the best of luck if he does retire.
Great read....and I'm excited to see him play this Sunday. A former all-pro with a 3 game projected career will probably play lights-out to close out his legacy.
This was the most temporary of our short-term solutions. I didn't see him coming here and being more than a solid 1-year player. Injuries are random events, so leaving those things aside, I think he's descending and could eventually become a real liability. Happy to see a player go out on good terms though. He had a far better attitude than I thought he may bring to the squad. He seems like a solid dude.
I hope he comes back next year. Even at $5.5m. He's been awesome for us on and off the field. We could use more players like him in our locker room.
Damn, I was kinda hoping he'd hang around another year or two and see this through. Hes still effective as long as hes not playing vs the other teams top guy. We certainly could have used him the last couple of games. There were only a few people here that said he'd be a good signing and he has been both in terms of play and leadership. Theres been a few reasons for our struggles and Finnegan hasnt been one of them.
I'd love to bring him back at a reduced salary. Its always good to have a caging vet to lean on, particularly one who has the right attitude on helping out the youngins.
He didn't sucker punch anyone in the back of the head after their helmet came off this season. That's an improvement. Bye and good luck, I guess.
