What we saw today is just another byproduct of the NFL protecting their investment

Simply looking at the magnitude of Flaccos contract is it any wonder the league would so willingly and blatantly overlook clear holding calls?

Was this a result of the recurring Carson Palmer incidents after big investments are made in his play/production? We were already aware of this being the case for Brady but it's getting to be pretty blatant at this point.

I gotta bring into question the integrity of the game when there are literally millions of dollars resting on the knees of a single asset. Clearly no single defensive player could hope to come close to the salary Joe Flacco or Andy Dalton are pulling down. So why would they care to protect defensive guys from holding against their momentum, chokeholds, cut blocks and borderline horsecollars? There is so much more to lose for ownership if say, Joe goes down for the year.

I really don't envy the position that Cameron Wake is regularly put into by the league and its officials.

it wouldn't be this way if the Dolphins would stand up for its self or if the fanbase was to sue the nfl .

I'm really starting to think there is something to these type of conspiracy theories. I mean does anyone really trust Goodell or the NFL anyway? Everything has been so shady for years? If you look at how hard the NFL tried to protect and cover up the Ray Rice incident it's not surprising to see them working hard to protect the Ravens' season.

Not only that, Tannehill looked to be blasted late 3 separate times, all of which if it were Brady or Manning the flag would've came out in a hot second. Tannehill needs to start throwing his hands up looking for a flag there. Although I think the refs have a bias against "running" QBs because they're perceived to be "tough" and can take a harder hit. It's bull****.

Also, Wake gets nonholding calls agaisnt every team he faces. The NFL is protecting all QBs, not just Joe or the other high $ ones. Which makes our line play that much more depressing. They cannot even hold someone long enough for Tannehill to throw deep...
