Vick scares me way more than Geno. Vick can beat you with playmaking and athleticism if you get loose and undisciplined. Vick is a weapon, albeit an inconsistent one. Geno...erm...no.

Minus Vick and possibly minus Mo Wilkerson...that's a team we should beat fairly easily, imo.

They very well should be. The Pats beat the Jets only by two points earlier this year, and they always play NE tough.

OK, and Miami has beaten NE twice in a row, including a beat down in September but that's all history. I doubt they're shaking in their boots about the rematch, more likely they're looking forward to it.

There is literally no way we lose either game to the Jests. They are a shell of a team, and Rex knows he is a lame duck. Last season, Rex played that last game for his job. He is playing for literally nothing now. Not even pride, which he and that team won't be able to muster. Remember 1-15, when the entire AFC East swept Cam Cameron? This is the Jets. If they were a half decent team with an ounce of pride, I'd say otherwise. We are a strong team, and they have been reduced to nothing. We will not lose.

And the last 5 weeks will tell even more. Look, if I had to give my honest opinion RIGHT NOW , I`d say were not the same ole Dolphins. But, history prevents me from having a heartfelt evaluation until seasons end. We couldve been singing your song around this time last year.

chiefs had no sense of urgency, we do, if our heads are on strait, and our team is focused and really wants to be respected this year, and achieve something of note, the jets fervor should last about a quarter..

I think its good that there is some pressure, the talent is there to win 4 out of 5.

Did Rex have say as to who the GM selected? I think Rex has a better resume as a D coord than Coyle, but I'm not sad with either one. Let's just get better players and we will win.

Right now there is no assurance that a 10-6 record would get the Dolphins a spot in the playoffs. So even if the Dolphins do win their next four games, Dolphin fans would go crazy if the Dolphins lost their final game of the season to the hated Jets again and this caused them to miss out on the playoffs.

Rex has an outstanding resume, no doubt. What I haven't seen much of from him is player development.

I think his problem with the Jets is that he never took enough interest in the offensive side of the ball and that eventually caught up with him. I think even the defensive players on the Jets have given up on the offense of the Jets.

As far as player development goes. He certainly showed he was capable of getting quality play out of a very ordinary team in his first two years as the Jets head coach. Heck, he was able to lead his team to two consecutive AFC title games with Mark Sanchez as his starting QB.

If that doesn't show that he is has the ability to get the most out of a very average player and team, nothing does.

Ryan may be a bit of an ***hole as the coach of the Jets, but whoever hires him as their DC next year is going to get probably the best defensive coordinator in the NFL on their staff. I would love to see him replace Coyle, but I just don't see that happening.

I don't know, something tells me that Philbin survives unless we go like 1-4 down the stretch. I think if we win 8 or more games he saves his job. I'm not really OK with that but I do think he can convince Ross to keep him one more year if we go 8-8.

Agreed because Ross is all about continuity. Tannehill's looked a lot better and that's going to go a long way in helping the staff keep their jobs regardless of playoffs or not. I'll be shocked if we don't beat the Jets comfortably on Monday night. I just don't see how they keep pace with our offense and I'm sure the defense will look better than it did last weekend.

Continuity makes sense if the team is improving where it counts the most, in the win-loss column. If this team, which is suppose to have the most talent of any Dolphin team in recent history goes 8-8 again this year, I just don't see how or why Ross would keep Philbin.

Even a 9-7 record, if it doesn't bring a playoff game would seem to be a mistake in regards to keeping Philbin, IMO.

The only way Philbin should be retained as the Dolphins head coach next year is for the Dolphins to make the playoffs or at least finish no worse than 10-6. If they finish 10-6 and still don't make the playoffs, I have no problem with Philbin returning as the head coach in 2015.

I'd rather win this one by a td and blow them out the second time. No reason to give them motivation. Let em think they can hang before we smack them with a 38-3.

I`m sure they were fired up against the Bills after their Steelers win and coming off their bye week. That didn't go over so good either. They don't match our talent and I just don't see them being competitive. If they have one motivational factor left in them it has to be to try and give the Patriots a run for their money at home in a few weeks. Rex hates the Pats more then the Dolphins, that's probably their super bowl.

Regardless of the Jets record or any other factor, they play us hard every game. I am extremely nervous about this game, more so that I was against the Broncos. However, if the offense even sniffs the production it showed in Denver we will win even if the defense decides to stay at home.

Tannehill's improvement is the only reason I wouldn't lose my mind if we had an 8 win season and we kept Philbin. This is assuming that the assistants stay the same, I think its obvious that we had some serious holes in the coaching staff before Philbin was forced to make changes. If Lazor returns I'd be OK with the coaching staff staying in place. Now if we lose to the Jest and miss the playoffs they're dead to me.

I need help on them? Why, should I ride them around the yard like a go cart? If you're going to flame someone for a typo, then at least know the different between "on" and "with".

    Here's a hint-

    You get "on" a bicycle.
You get help "with" fixing your bicycle.

The Jets are seventh-best in the league in yards allowed and fifth in rushing. They’re the NFL’s worst passing team.

What you're missing in that is that we have and have had poor interior OLine play for years now and that we struggle against active DLines that blow our OLine off the LOS.

As for Jax, they have one of the best front 7 in the NFL. Their front four are dominant and their linebackers run really well. The Jags defense ranks #1 in the league in red-zone defense, allowing 16 TDs in 41 trips (39%).

Not really nonsense at all. I'm not saying better QBs overall, but arm talent? I've come across people with tremendous arm talent in every day life. Some never took football seriously, some had injuries, some started at a late age.

However I have no issue with what I said because its 100% fact. It helps that Geno can't throw as well.

True the Jets suck and we should beat them. But don't put anything by this coaching staff. Also, divisional game. Records go out the window.

Lol Me too, and if Geno Smith plays like Bortles we can afford an ugly game. But I'd like to see the Dolphins dominate offensively from start to finish.

Miami has done well against bad teams this year. Miami has feasted on them, in fact. Even the middle tier teams like Buffalo 2 and San Diego have been handled well. Only playoff teams have given them trouble, and the Jets are no playoff team. I feel pretty confident Miami wins this game.
