I have to say I really think that this team is headed in the right direction for once. Even last year when they had a chance to make the playoffs I didn't think they were really moving in the right direction. They were frauds and frauds get exposed.

I still think were short on depth but the guys who have come in to play have done pretty well. Were pretty banged up with injuries and I don't see us going far in the playoffs, but I like the offense and I like the chemistry they seem to have. That's been lacking.

This isn't pie in the sky stuff. Its just my feeling in watching the team.

I agree. We have our QB moving forward and I couldn't be happier about that. Tannehill has shown drastic improvement all three years. Hell if he takes an equal jump next year you're going to be mentioning him with guys like Luck and Rodgers once Manning and Brady hang it up.

Still think we have a damn good defense. We just played a terrible game on that side. It happens on occasion.

The tackling was really poor. If they would have brought guys down at the point of attack it could have been much better. I like that they didn't just give up. They came back to get it to 3 against a pretty decent Denver team on the road. They led most of the game. That TD at the end of the 1st half was the momentum swing and the ultimate killer.

BTW I like what they Denver did on the 2 point conversion. That's a red zone play the Dolphins should run.

I agree with most you wrote....especially about RT. This defense is good, not elite or great. There is a big leap from good to great. Yesterday brought back memories of Thurman Thomas gashing us, Andre Reed running free in our secondary and Jim Kelly having all day in the pocket to throw...With our DC helpless to make any adjustments. WE could still be playing and our defense would not be able to get a stop.

Elite is a tough word. I'd say we are among the elite this year, all time no. For reference purposes, the 2000 Ravens gave up 36 in a game to the Jaguars. Games like these happen.

If we go back to allowing 18 ppg the rest of the way ill say we are great.

Let's just hope we get the same officiating crew that doesn't see our Wes Welker throw his knee into the opponent during an illegal pick. :headscratch:
