I know it's only a mock, but there is something very impressing with this site. Look at the old mocks they had for the past years... they have almost 40-50% of the picks right, but in the dolphins' case, they figured out vernon carey ( a very long shot IMO ) , ronnie brown and they missed on jason allen but knew we would get a secondary player (they had us pick jimmy williams) ....

In my case, i'm all in for dorsey IF and ONLY IF the physicals on the guy during the combines and scouting reveal that his knee and his back are good to go. Trading down in the top 5 or 10 would be my favorite scenario.

anyways... back to draftking, I don't know if it's an awkward coincidence that he figured out our picks but I must admit i'm impressed and this mock was made before the parcells hiring, they mentionned at the bottom that if the move concluded, the Dorsey pick would be even more probable....

it is early of course, very early. Maybe draftking will change his mock after combines and everything and he'll have us pick another player, but until then this is his prediction and I believe, just like him (barring the injury conditions) that dorsey is the man at the moment...

Well the Dragon McaFadden is not going to enter the Fins ring, enter the Dragon Parcells...

Tuna has never drafted a DT with a #1 pick, so let the "Mock" (how ironic...Mock..) so now we are going to draft the guy?

It's gonna be Gholston. He's gonna rock the combine and he fits Parcells' kind of LB perfectly.

Let me say however, that im an LSU fan, and i want Dorsey. Just think Gholstons gonna be the guy when its all said and done.

Dorsey isnt a Parcells type of pick. He wants pressure from the outside to make his defense work. Obviously they will interview him and one never knows but Chris Long and Gholston are the more likely picks

Parcells may not have a history of drafting a defensive tackle high but he has been linked to them numerous times. It is well known that he had a major chubby for Big Daddy in his draft year.

I'm just relaying the facts; draftking had good predictions for our team in the past drafts that's it.

And you can point out the fact that if indeed parcells drafted for Dallas, then he drafted Spears as a 3-4 End ( which would be a very possible position for Dorsey )

Just dropping by to say that the thread title seems very misleading to me. I thought it was going to be a story on how we were targeting him at this early stage and found out it was just another one of a million mocks. Just sayin. Merry Christmas!

I thought Dorsey would be our pick before the Tuna came to town, but I also think he would be looking at someone else ......my guess is Chris Long.....we could really use Howie Jr., and if he is half the player his dad was, we will be happy for many years to come.

I also think trading down is a possibility but only if we get a boatload of picks.

actually, Marcus Spears was a DT at LSU so although he plays DE in a 3-4, he technically was drafted as a DT.

IMO Right now there are 4 names ahead of the rest: Dorsey,Chris Long,Gholston, and Sedrick Ellis

I think when all is said and done it will be Chris Long. If Ghoulston has a clearly superior combine, he might get the nod, but otherwise Long, and I'll be a happy camper. (I'm also glad its looking less likely the Pats end up with Long.)

We just need someone to stop the RUN, our run defense is horrible and is the reason why we have lost many of our games. I say our first three picks should be DE, DT and CB/TE because I really like Fred Davis and I think if we had him, he could help out our offense a lot (He was the number one recruit at WR the year he graduated from high school and then he was switched to TE.. so you know he can catch)

Ghoulston from Slohio ST....I think not. Parcells will find someone who can fly from the outside, maybe Quenton Groves

Hopefully he can find a way to trade out of the top 3 possibly to the Jets or Falcons and land Ghoulston. While I think Ghoulston is exactly the type of player Parcells covets, it would take a GREAT combine for him to appear worthy of the top selection. Watch what VG does to Jake Long and Mike Hart in this youtube video.

Just way too early guys. The combine and hype machine will turn the draft order upside down. I predict we take the best player, period. Our needs are everywhere. This is our chance to take the very best player coming out of college this year, and that’s what we will do. If it’s offensive line, so be it. A lockdown corner, great. A quarterback (I still doubt it) or McFadden, whatever. We are in no position to PASS on the best available player. I do think we will trade down, if we can. The Dolphins are basically on the clock right now. You’ve got some teams out there like Jacksonville, Dallas, the Steelers, that are not going to win the Super Bowl this year but might just believe they are a Darren McFadden away from winning it all next year. We are totally in control and that is good news for us.
“And with the first selection in the 2008 NFL draft, the Miami Dolphins select…â€
