Figured that would happen. I like him a lot and I think other teams will have noticed his tackle-breaking ability.

The Dolphins kept Daniel Thomas over Orleans Darkwa.

    It continues.

I was just about to say this. After Moreno went down we shoulda called up Darkwa instead of re-signing Thomas.

good for him. NYG is down to no running backs he's at a place that will actually give him some burn.

I could accept that more than now.

Back when Moreno first went down, Darkwa was still pretty wet behind the ears and they decided to give Daniel Thomas a call and he initially had some decent runs for the team.

But now? Commonly when a practice squad player is called by a team to place on their roster, that practice squad player tells his team and gives them the choice to put him on roster instead.

Well guess what. Daniel Thomas is averaging the SAME 3.6 yards per carry he always has averaged since entering the league, AND just lost a fumble against the Lions last weekend.

How many ****ing chances does this no-talent ******* ****ing get?

Dam much rather went with Darkwa than Thomas, young runs hard has bigger ceiling. Damien williams had shown he can play and be. 2 with Lamar Miller don't need Thomas, go with talent that continues to get better over the best he wil ever get rb. I could see if you don't have a vet that can play but Miller is there and doing well.

Feel like we're going to regret this one.

At least we kept Daniel Thomas though. That's exciting.

We may regret this. Or we may not. It doesn't really matter. It's the wrong decision regardless.

Daniel Thomas' nickname should be genital herpes at this point. Sometimes he goes away but he always comes back. We need a foundation to raise awareness and provide funding for a cure.

I agree with those curious as to why in the world we did not cut Thomas and promote Darkwa to the active roster...another STUBBORN Philbin move.

The best part about DT is Ireland traded up into the 2nd because he was afraid of missing out on him!

Randall Cobb was there, Demarco Murray, Stevan Ridley. All much better players. Ugh.

Miami got a call on their practice squad backs, activated the one that is more similar to their starting back (Miller/James) and allowed the other a chance on the 53 of another team. Sounds like a good deal for both backs.

I wanted Ryan Mallett when we traded up there. Not sure how that would have worked out for us. He is starting against the Browns this Sunday.

I was so happy when we didn't take Ryan Mallett. He looks like a Rob Johnson waiting to happen

You may be right, but the jury is still out on him. I mean he's only attempted like 4 passes so far hasn't he? And I certainly wasn't the only one that wanted us to draft him there. We'll know real soon if he's got it or not with that Houston offense. If he doesn't produce with Andre Johnson and DeAndre Hopkins, he is a bust.

There was speculation that he was the Patriots' target. I'd have rather them taken him than Ridley who got drafted a round later. Vereen and Thomas would have been much easier to deal with.

I thought both did similarly well in the run game in the preseason, but Williams seemed superior in the blocking department.

I wanted Ryan Mallet !!! And he will do well for Houston once he gets their offense down. I guarantee that he could hit Wallace deep !

At this point we might as well sign Daniel Thomas to a 14 year extension, because we are never getting rid of him.

He was one of my favorite rookies in camp just because of his powerhouse run style, so I have mixed emotions here. On one hand, I'm happy the guy found work and he's on an active roster, but I also hate that he's not suited up in Miami. I certainly wish him luck though!

he's gone, want to keep seeing what williams does with his reps, he runs a bit upright but there are some cool things as well..hes got speed and a bit of nasty cocky disposition, could fit in a three back unit because of his total game, natural hands.
