Thank you Deej but when I go to main forum and click club level there is not a subscribe link? I don't know what I could be doing wrong..is there a phone number?
Thank you again..I will put a check in the mail tomorrow. I realize we discussed about a month ago..I am aging and forgetful..lol..thank you again Crunch
Ya he's not as shifty as a Cam or Russell, but he's got speed...it's very evident on some of those runs, he accelerates well, even if he "looks" clumbsy...he's a tall dude...tall dude's usually look cumbersome running.
Good reminder of what I've been missing in the Club. Now that my finances are slightly better I might have to re-up.
Boomer, good to read your insights. I always enjoyed you work on Finheaven. Tannehill has 3 straight games with a run of 30+. Only a GREAT athlete could do that. I think the big difference in Tannehills psyche has a lot to do with Dan Marino being around so much these days. He now has a role model to emulate. He sees how DM carries himself with the intensity and the scowl. The presser after the Jags game was very revealing. He looked like a man in my eyes instead of a kid, for the first time he wasn't gushing about being excited and having fun. It was about getting better, focusing etc. Maybe DM can't teach that God-givin quick release but he can show him how to really compete at the highest level, how to approach things mentally and what mind set to go into a ballgame with. Who was his role model before DM? Philbin? Sherman? He's going to do great things for the rest of the year starting with San Diego.
Do not know, do know we are not consistent whatsoever. I'd like to hear Boomers thoughts on the development of Jelani Jenkins, I personally thought he'd be a great coverage Lb now he is a lot more then just that role.
I don't get the criticism of RT as an athlete either. There simply aren't many 6'4" guys who can run like him. Cam a CKap are among the few that come to mind. RT is a pocket passer with unusual straight line speed and athleticism for his size. He'll make most his plays from the pocket. I don't think he gets enough credit for so many of his great throws. And he gets skewered for any non-perfect throws by people whom I can only assume aren't watching other QBs with the same critical eye. The run has to be part of his game b/c it makes everything else easier, but it'll will always be a compliment. Where I think Marino will help is in moving in the pocket. I do believe that can be taught and improves with experience. I don't believe Dan was ever great at reading defenses. I spoke with him about that back in his early years and Dan was never a great student of the game. He's my favorite player but that simply wasn't his strength. Now like anybody with a long career, he picked up cues after seeing things so many times and he could certainly impart that info. I think that if RT can absorb those areas from Dan that we'll be pretty happy.
Wow. Just noticed this. Great stuff, Boomer. And how about that day today from RT and the entire team? I love the OL right now (though there is a bit of a weak link at LG). But, really the most complete victory I've seen from a Dolphin team since ... I simply can't remember it's been that long.
Punting game was great today...didn't happen until the 4th quarter. Kicking, on the other hand, touchbacks were great...the miss sucked, but he had the leg and it was a long one...just a hair off. Michael Thomas is my hero on STs...
Bah. We CAN play with any team in the league in any venue. The question is WILL we.... Because of that, I don't fear any team.
Julius Thomas? Miami has been covering the TE well ever since Jenkins came into the picture along with Jones. Miami matches up pretty well with Denver indeed. Tannehill's arm in that climate is a big help as well.
Punting has gotten better, but Fields still doesn't look 100%. Don't forget Rishard Matthews on punt coverage, he's been doing a great job getting down field. Sturgis 40+ accuracy is horrible. He's going to cost Miami a game that may keep them out of the playoffs.
I'm far less worried about Denver at this point than I am Detroit. In a dome; great defense; weapons getting healthy. That is going to be a really, really tough game to win. That may be the toughest game of the year, considering all circumstances.
On top of that, RT had a solid game at Pittsburgh last year in the cold. That cold and rainy/windy stuff however...BAD joo-joo (Buffalo last winter).
Great writeup as always... Glad to hear you are a fan of Bill Lazor as well. I am president of his fan club.
We do not know which Miami team will show up, the one with dominating D or the one that cannot get off of the field, the one with a poor ST unit or the one with Landry kicking *** on returns and Sturgis hitting kicks? Ditto THill, he is on a roll, can he keep it up and Lamar Miller as well.
