It was ugly...our O line brought back 2013 memories for much of that game...3 dropped passes...some other bad passes...couldn't get Jax off the field hardly all game. That type of game won't beat the Chargers, Bills, Pats, Ravens, Broncos...they need to learn from it, put it behind, and carry on with what they KNOW they can do.

They do need to play better if they are to a real contender , but we were one play away from 5 and 3 , and that play absolutely should have been made by a veteran in that situation , every time.

Getting or being more consistent , because the essential elements are certainly there.

Agreed but they will be down their top two backs most likely (Spiller at the very least) in our stadium for a primetime game where the overwhelming majority of home teams win. If we are EVER going to beat them it would be this game.

Its big, but we'd still be .500 if we lose. A win would certainly give us a little wiggle room though, and lead to everyone feeling a little better.

I know everybody's dying to hear what the CBS studio guys said about the Dolphins after the game. I'm paraphrasing:

Cowher: This Miami defense is for real and Tannehill is playing well at the QB position.

Bart Scott: They should put him on the hot seat every week. Ever since he got called out before that Raiders game...

Cowher: When you play these guys, you're going to get a 60-minute game.

i think the fins go 2-2 over those four games. IMO they beat San Diego who never travels well to the east coast and Detroit who has to be the luckiest team in the nfl right now.

I will start to believe that the fins have turned the corner if they beat the bills. Denver is just in another class right now.

Buffalo is a pretty good football team that we have real issues with , a win there would be really sweet and ... important.

Ironically...we match up very well with Denver. They cant really run the ball...and Peyton sits in the pocket...trust me..he starts getting hit...hes gonna feel his age.

Right now the Bills are a better team than the Dolphins. Hopefully the home field will turn into an advantage and the Dolphins can pull that game out.

As bad as the Jets are right now, I have learned over the past 4 plus decades that records mean absolutely nothing when these two teams play each other. Winning both games against the Jets is not going to an easy task for this Dolphin team.

I still see this Dolphin team as being 8-8 at best this year. I hope I'm wrong.

The Broncos will win that game by at least 14 points. Mark it down.

I think Miami beats San Diego and Buffalo. Detroit...who knows? If Megatron is back, I think he'll make a pretty big difference. I know Miami shut out Marshall and Jeffrey, but Calvin Johnson (if healthy) is on another level. Also, I worry about the interior of the O-line against Suh. Fairley got carted off the game with a knee injury so if he's out that should help out Miami.

Ya divisional games are divisional games...nothing can be taken for granted...except that we're gonna skull-f*** Brady and the girls up at Gillette!

How about my favorite Dolphin today, Michael Thomas?!?!?! Kid was ballin' (and recovered the onside kick).

I wonder if a win like this..where the team still has to work hard..isnt bettet then a blow out going into that San Diego game. They tend to believe their own greatness sometimes..so..I think this is good perspective

I like this view and the attitude. I think a big part of success or failure will be how much his receivers get hit after catching that short stuff.

That was a frustrating game to watch. The offense was bad. Colledge doesn't need to be in the starting lineup. Too many 3 and outs.

Loved the defense. To stay on the field as long as they did, they performed well. I'm now 3-3 when I go to games.

Not a very good way to look at the NFL. The Dolphins also beat the Pats (6 wins), the Bears (3 wins), and played a very good Packers team (5 wins) down for down, so why did you leave them out? I think I know why, but I want to hear your version. Anyhow, any team in the NFL has a chance to beat any other team at any time. I know that's a huge cliche, but it's a very true one. The Raiders and Jags still have NFL caliber players and coaches playing every down. Some of the best athletes and football players in the WORLD play for them. Even if each of their respective teams have the 32nd best player playing at every position it's still the top 32nd player in the WORLD. It's not like those two teams just handed us the ball every down and let the Dolphins score.

The Dolphins are still a work in progress. I have more questions than answers when it comes to Philbin. Tanny, as Tasker said during today's game, is starting to get more consistent. If the defense holds up and Tanny keeps improving this may very well be a legit playoff team.

If it had been any other team we would've gotten our asses handed to us. Not a great day for us. I just don't get why this team plays down to bad teams' levels. I'll take the W but I don't have to be satisfied with it.

First of all I agree that on any given day any team can beat another team.

My prediction has been all along that the Dolphins would finish this year 8-8. That was their record last year and they beat the Patriots last year. In fact the Dolphins have been fairly consistent in beating a few teams each of the past few years that they probably weren't better than. They also have played other quality teams closely, only to lose in the closing minutes of the game, as they did against the Packers.

This has been how they have played for the past three years under Philbin.

I just see the more difficult part of their schedule being the next nine games. I don't see any Raiders or Jaguars left on the schedule. The Jets obviously aren't very good right now, but when it comes to the Jets and Dolphins playing one another, records don't mean anything.

As far as the Dolphins being a ,"work in progress" is concerned. This team has been a work in progress for the past decade or more. It is time they start showing over the next nine weeks that they are more than a work in progress, but finally a team who knows how to go out and actually become a playoff team.

My view is that the Dolphins will once again finish third in the AFC East. Behind the Patriots and the Bills. I have been waiting since Philbin arrived for this team to prove me wrong when I call them mediocre. Maybe this will be the year, but they need to play much better over the next nine weeks than they did today to prove me wrong.

Colledge said he should have taken himself out of the game earlier...he had a migraine and was hurting the team.

The Dolphins were fortunate today to be playing against a rookie QB who probably should still be sitting on the bench learning about the NFL from an experienced NFL veteran QB. Unfortunately for the Jaguars, that veteran QB is Chad Henne and we all know how bad that is.

Sorry about his migraine, but he was giving me a migraine while watching him pretend he was a matador, when it came to blocking the Jaguar defender across from him.

I agree with most of this..and I too am tired of the work in progress label. However, I do think we have a QB that can (he may not), but I think he is capable of reaching that next level. If he can keep up the progress I think we're really close to being legit. The O-Line was worked over today, however, not many teams have a defensive front as good as the Jags. The good i got out of this game was that we won. In the past we wouldn't have won an ugly game like this.
