They had Philbin yesterday morning on 940 and they gave him this nickname... "Smoking Joe"... in relevance to Joe Frazier... He asked if that nickname was all about his sideline demeanor... I laughed so hard... Anyways the host did not gave him the reason for his nickname... but we all seem to have an idea... Just figured I pass it along...
Honestly, I like how Joe maintains an even keel during games from week to week. I think it is good for the team to see there is a steady consistent hand on the wheel, rather than an unpredictable roller coaster of emotions.
