well, i haven't heard him once talk about why you do go for it in that situation with the crowd, and the momentum, and the energy, some folks don't believe in that, just don't want my coach not to..

football is a game of rhythm and timing, and energy, to call a timeout to regroup at home when the energy was at its peak, shows a complete lack of comprehension of the intangible, he did what he always does, and that is, he wants to see it first, talk about it, then execute it..Hes obsessed with watching film before he comments which i can understand, but when your the head coach, there are sways and shifts you must feel your way thru..that was about the biggest knife in theory that I've see, he cut us up real nice..every fan in the place should be pissed off.this is not practice where you go back and watch the tape so you can adjust, its called making an instinctual call based on the circumstances in our favor, and let me tell ya, the list and percentages are long in our favor..

shoot, whats the percentage of converting a fourth and 10 on the road?

That's it right there. His biggest flaw is he lacks the instincts necessary to be head coach.

Apparently, Philbin went into the team meeting room today and told the players they must be more mentally tough to avoid losing like that.

    Coach queasy, folks.

Omar Kelly @OmarKelly "We talked in the team meeting and said "look, we've got to be tougher than that mentally," Philbin said.

I hope the person who said that was addressing Joe.

To be fair, he said "we" not "you" so he was talking about himself too.

Yeah I'm sure the players felt he was talking about himself. Not buying that man. Not buying it.

Either way, Philbin better get the ship on course because the heat is on and I'm sure he knows it. Win and I'll forgive.

“There’s people here in this building that come to work every day that bleed orange and blue and want to be part of the Miami Dolphins,” Philbin said.

Poor Joe can't even get the colors right. Maybe he was imagining he was the coach of the Donkos.

You can argue that the fake spike play was a pretty bad decision. Had Finnegan made the tackle in bounds the clock expires and they never even attempt a pass into the end zone. He got away with it so know one views it that way.

I think they accomplished exactly what they wanted to accomplish on that play, more yards with the ability to score if you fool them or go out of bounds to stop the clock if you don't.

heres why this game is on the coaches...imo, the game was won when on the games most critical down, we sacked and forced the fumble..we didn't recover, but to me that isn't football, getting the sack and strip on the best qb in the game is..so to me, between the lines our players outplayed their players..

If their objective was to pick up an extra 12 yards with less than 10 seconds on the clock, then their coaching staff and/or Rodgers is dumber than ours. I'm pretty sure they saw it as the last play of the game and were banking on the WR getting into the endzone. The fact that Finnegan could not contain him, even though he had outside position, is the only thing that saved them.

I don't agree with that at all. Dumb would be expecting a 2 yrd pass to turn into a 16 yrd TD, especially since to get there he'd have to go the middle of the field and break a few tackles. They had an easy completion at the sideline with the CB playing 10 yards off the LOS and giving up 25 lbs to the receiver who would easily be able to get out of bounds and stop the clock. There were 12 second left when he ball was snapped. No team in need of a TD plans for their last play to start with 12 seconds left. As it turned out, they exchanged 6 seconds for 12 yards, which was a pretty good exchange for them. Much easier to score from the 4 than the 16. And it wouldn't have been hard to get two plays off in 6 seconds from the 4 if they had to, as evidenced by the fact they would have had another play if Quarless had dropped the TD (or it was otherwise incomplete).
