I can't see us winning a shootout (although I can see us scoring a bunch). We win this game if our defense does it's job and holds the packers to < 21 points.

Neither do I and I agree, a lot will rest on the D. The running game as well.

I definitely agree. If the defense can stop them from scoring more points than us, then we have a good shot at stealing this game.

They've given up a lot on the ground. The D and the run game are key.

Man, ****.... that headline couldn't have been more scary at first. I thought it said "Ryan Tannehill arrested" when I first read it. Clicked link on the verge of a meltdown haha.

    Time to say it.

I hope ryan was watching this game tonite, just for the simple fact to see the amount of energy Luck expends from his body leading a team to victory on the road..it's constant and draining, and he pushes himself to go there..

I need to see a hell of a lot more out of Ryan in just that dept, it's time to either push yourself to push your teammates, to another level and sustain it, or piss off, there's just no going back on Sunday man.

I can live with a loss, just don't let it be because of you.

Hate to say it, but not getting my hopes up with Tannehill anymore. He'll have to string multiple strong games together in a row for me to jump back onto his bandwagon.

Would be great if this weekend was one of them.

It's time Ryan Tannehill starts to make his coaches job easier and start to do things that are not scheme related all the time.

I think part of the issue is indicated in how often you see him referred to as "kid" around here. Ryan Tannehill is 26 years old, yet the way he carries himself lends itself to that sort of view of him. I'm not sure anybody who appears to be a "kid" in that way has it within himself to step up to the level you're talking about here. He looked a little different in that regard against the Raiders, however.

That's really stretching it. Seriously. Ted Williams was nicknamed "The Kid," and he is one baseball's all-time greatest.

Wow..gotta disagree there. He hasnt really been the "pushing" type of personality, but one thing can never be said is that Ryan Tannehill has carried himself like a kid. You never once hear Tannehill lay blame at anyone's feet other then himself. He gets brutalized, and gets his *** back off the turf, not one complaint, and takes the next snap. You never see him out partying or getting into trouble, on days off he spends it with his wife. You dont see him tweeting immature crap like Hartline has been prone to do.

You can say alot about Tannehill, but carrying himself like a kid isnt one of them.

He needs to exert himself as the alpha in this pack, I agree completely. But make no mistake, Tannehill is a competitor.

Just because some refer to him as the "kid" has absolutely zero to do with his demeanor...my son's his age. I refer to all young players as "kid," and not in a demeaning way, nor to try and denote they act immaturely.

Somebody referred to as "kid" can't up his play...what are the stats on that? Is he the mean, or outside a few standard deviations?

FFS dude...what's next? He's married and his wife is hot, so he's not capable of upping his level of play?

I wish I could draw conclusions like that in my own mind and try and push them on everyone as fact. That's a special ability you have there... kid.

Allow me to derail this thread:

Tannehill has 5 100+ rated games in his career. Russell Wilson pretty much has 5 this season (one at 99.9).

You can ? I certainly cant. Why should we expect a loss here and be content about it? If we claim to be a good, competitive, possible playoff caliber team then theres no excuse to lose against the Packers this Sunday at home.

I agree, but I also feel like I know what DU is talking about, imo, he's insecure about leadership, it's not easy for him, but, we did see him progress last week in that very dept, on Sunday, it is his day to understand what is needed for his team to play at a high level, he has to push himself thru the walls he has up..it's time..

Remember when Chad Pennington was taped going around the practice field while the guys were stretching dancing and basically being a bad *** to eminems song "lose yourself"? While everyone else just stared at him? , he didn't care, he was completely uninhibited..You think Chad Pennington doesn't know what he's doing?

This is the journey that ryan faces and battles with imo..I'm excited to see whether he understands that we need more than his right arm..We need his legs, we need his emotion, and we need him to play with a sense of urgency every play.

If the quiet guy can bust out of his shell some more, it may just catch some fire.

It's the biggest game of his life imo..any regression on his part is unacceptable..it's year three, were at home, in a huge game for first place and some freakin respect, if he doesn't get it now, he never will..

But according to some individuals on this forum, Wilson is merely a product of the offensive scheme he plays in with the Seahawks.

Personally I would trade Tannehill and next years first round pick for Wilson and feel like we robbed the Seahawks if they told the deal.

Hakeem was blaming Eli... Um, the Giants have been winning and IMO looks like the most complete team in their division without him.

LOL. It already did, That's why your post cracked me up. Just before I saw your comment, I was thinking the same thing. Ar first, I was reading a post and, on the top of my screen, I just saw the the little hooters covered in paint or blood, etc. LOL. I first was thinking that maybe the pics were of his daughter. Then i was thinking, who would post such a provocative pic of their daughter? I realized it couldn't be his daughter and then I saw your post. I dig rilla. I always want some of what he's smoking. LOL!!!
