I didn't get to watch the game Sunday. Is Williams now the primary kickoff returner? Just noticed that Landry didn't appear to have any kickoff return yardage. Anybody have any insight? Thanks.

I think Williams returned a kick b/c the kick was short. Correct me if I'm wrong somebody, but I believe Landry is still our kick returner...

I like him on kick returns. He's currently #4 in the league in average yards per kick return at 29.3 per attempt. I like Williams returning too... but Landry has been great.

Now punt returns? We could probably do better...

Well, the Raiders only scored twice and had a second half kickoff. Discounting one what I believe to be a touch back, Landry took one for 35 yards and Williams took another. Landry also had a punt return.

Yeah williams returned that one because it was short. You could see him looking around to see if he needed to hand off to Landry.

I'm for Landry right now. He's shown some ability on the returns and the mistakes will happen as a rookie.

Williams returned the one after the Raiders had a penalty if I recall correctly

I just can't believe Rizzo is having these problems with special teams this year.

I'd like to see what Matthews could do with PRs. Landry has made too many mistakes over too few a games for my liking.

Okay, thanks. I was following on Yahoo and for some reason, they have Williams as returning both kicks. Was wondering, bc I think Landry is the best for that position.

May have had a couple of fumbles, but I'd still have Landry

Landry is 5th in the league in Kick Off Return Yards...pretty sure they are happy with him there.

I've liked Landry on KO returns, but he's been brutal on punts. Beyond the two fumbles, he's made some terrible decesions about which balls to go after and which to let go inside the 20.

Against the Raiders, the fumble was on a punt. He was holding the ball with one hand and it only took a casual tap on the ball to get it out. He's succeptable to fumble catches like that too if he doesn't get both hands on the ball.

I like Landry on kick off but it seems he gets a little uneasy on the tough decision punts.

Landry plays dangerous on kicks/punts, hence his two fumbles, but he also gives it everything he has, every time. It's hard to ask for much more for a returner, but I also like Williams a lot and he is faster as well.

Heck for that matter, did you see the way Grimes ran back that interception? I'd love to see him on a few punt returns as well.

I like Landry on kickoff's but he doesn't need to return anymore punts.

Scaring the hell out of me!

Yeah, his inexperience is showing badly on punt returns.

I saw some things with Landry in his punt return technique and Im willing to bet money if you stick with him he will turn it around..

What he's doing in punt return is using his hands at times to catch the ball...you absolutely cannot just use your hands returning punts, he's so used to catching with his hands and they are so good, that he's doing it either consciously or subconsciously, the coaches need to see this on film and tell him about it..if he makes the adjustment and starts to cradle the ball correctly, he will be just as good as he is on kick return, he has traits of a very good returner, just be patient and hope the coaches see the mistake he's making on a few catches.
