ACL is a year for a back, so we need depth, he will be back no doubt, but you dont want to rush him either, jones from dallas could work

The last report I saw had him walking around the facility two to three weeks ago. The sugery is done.

The report was stashed in one of Omar's blogs (I think).

Thanks, thats what i was looking for.
What would be cool,is for miami to poormouth Ronnie condition, like he want be back
in good shape for awhile. Then put out signals that we will for sure draft DMac,so
we can pull out as many trade offers as possible.

No, it doesn't. His condition affects whether or not we retain Jesse Chatman/Ricky Williams, and also whether or not we pursue a running back in free agency. We're not going to take Darren McFadden if Ronnie won't be back until, say, November 2008.

I'm thinking it effects us not taking a back with our 3rd or 4th pick.
I like DMac,but not with the first overall pick.
Plus other than Curtis Martin,Bill hasn't never been enamored with
using a high pick on RB's.

Ronnie Brown has been rehabbing with Deuce McAllister in Birmingham. Looks like he is progressing well.

he is going to be fine, we just need depth so he does not have to rush back

Keep Chatman, continue to use Booker as the scat back (I really dig Lorenzo) No need to pursue another back at all.

Though If Julius Jones really wants to play under a Parcells team again, Im all for it.

Ronnie will be fine, bringing in jones would be fine....cant have TOO much depth. (which is what we lack imo) Cant wait till next season.

If Ronnie is still a little gimpy or questionable I'd love to see us go after Ray Rice of Rutgers with our 2B pick.....I think he will be a lot like Maurice Jones-Drew. He just seems to be a little guy who is very hard to bring down, and he has good hands for screens passes.
