Some of us are much more passionate about Ryan Tannehill than others. I for one have posted numerous times that I think year 3 will be "the year".

Do I think we bench him for Moore?? No. That's counterproductive. But at this point I strongly believe he will never be what we all had hoped he would. The last 4 games he has played have been Ray Lucas like..the kid simply isn't developing, he may be the worst QB I've seen in a long time in regards to leading his WRs.

He will have the rest of the season to prove me wrong, but as of now?? He has a one way ticket to BUST town.

As I have been saying for some time. Ryan is a journeyman QB right now. He is going to make a few pays to give you hope and he is going to have his head scratchers but for the most part he is just going to be average.

In order for the Dolphins to be successful with Ryan they are going to have to build a great team around him. A team of that can cover up his short comings... But geez that is hard to do in today's NFL.

The question is how do you give him that huge paycheck that is looming? I don't think you can at this point.

He's not playing very well. Everyone will point to coaching but he's so bad right now. I still think this is a good team but he has to turn it around.

They have to give Tannehill the keys to this offense with no holding back on the play book. All while scouting qb's in the upcoming draft.

I think that in time, Tannehill could be an excellent quarterback. His shortcomings are too large to ignore though, and I believe that time on the bench may be the best thing for him at this point. Give the guy a chance to learn without the pressure of immediate performance and who knows....he may be an All-Pro yet. I think the game is still too fast for him though.

If he plays the rest of the season like these last 2 games...I'm sure he won't be around much longer. I'm willing to give him some cushion because of the new system and the timing involved, but it's gotta happen sooner rather than later.

The special teams definitely deserve a ton of blame... But Ryan was freaking horrible... And he has been for 14 of the last 16 quarters he has played in. He just is not a very good Passer.

Because what Ryan did or did not do is much more tangible. Blaming Rizzi because a bunch of numb nuts didn't do their jobs correctly seems rather short-sighted to me, especially since Darren has been one of the best coaches on this staff since he's been here.

I think it is time to face reality for RT fans--those who continue to think that the Dolphins are about RT. This team is not about RT, he is just a piece, a replaceable one, in this system. We need a QB who can execute this system and take advantage of what the offense gives him, whether that is RT or someone else is not important.

The "reality" coming into the year was that Tannehill had never demonstrated consistent QB play above the average level.

There is no reality to face now other than that none of us had the crystal ball he thought he had in predicting that was just "development" on his part.

I get what you are saying but what does a new system have to do with his 2plus years on inaccuracies? He doesn't have to k of the system to throw the ball to the correct shoulder of a receiver. Ryan has a lot of short comings but his accuracy is what is holding get him back right now.

Tannehill played a pretty **** game but your opinion on him shouldn't have changed dramatically one way or the other.

And it didn't. He was average before the game, and he still is, except for that this game was one of his below average ones. He'll counter this one with an above average one, and in the end he'll settle around the average level as usual.

I've been a Tannehill homer for quite awhile now. If he continues to play like this for the rest of the season, I'll agree that it will be time to replace him or at the very least bring in serious competition for the job. But to be calling for Matt Moore after 2 games and 1-1? Madness. Things can turn around in the NFL very quickly. Things can also get worse. I'll reserve judgement until the end of the season.

Honestly, I don't know... I really don't. I really don't like any of the quarter backs that are entering the draft this year... So far, I have to start looking at that. Kind of depressing...

I faced reality a long time ago when the Dolphins drafted Pouncey instead of Kaepernick, and then followed up the next year drafting Tannehill instead of Kuechly.

My expectations have been very low. You just can't draft that effin stupid and expect to build a playoff caliber team.

What would his rating have been had Dion Sims not dropped a pass in the end zone on a perfect throw?

86 is still worse than EJ Manuel and Geno Smith.

You know the funny thing is I think Ryan is making the right reads most of the time... His problem is getting the ball there.

VT the problem is not what is our backup plan, but what is the coaching staff's backup plan, and if they didn't have one, why not. It's looking like it was Matt Moore. They haven't drafted or brought in a backup plan since Tannehill was installed. If this coaching staff is too lazy to find one, then they deserve the fate they get.

Right now that looks to be another losing season. Especially if Moreno is out for at least 4 weeks, which I just heard on the radio.

If we calculated that, we'd also have to adjust "average" to account for all the similarly dropped balls for other QBs in the league.

How many freakin' threads. He played bad, you don't like him, we get it, can we move on?

This is just the same old fin fairweatherness. At 8-6 last year most of the forum was praising him. Now it's "he's always been bad".

People are acting like we actually have an OL, a running game, decent play-calling so that when we fail on offense we can point to our QB.....But our offense was garbage from head to toe. For every underthrow there was a dropped ball. The Bills defense pressured on every single snap while our D rarely pressured at all.
