I am so looking forward to those 2 games. Jets and us have two of the most fun teams to watch this years in the NFL. I watched all games from the last weekend, and Jets are up there in the entertainment factor. Bills are too conservative, I am not hyped for this game, even tho the Bills have exciting receivers. I think we should roll in both games against the Bills. Jets are a different story. They will be tough. Another team that surprised me is the Titans, they are like mini Seahawks.
I am worried about their running game against our defense. Very scared actually, Chris Johnson and Ivory running against our D plus their D line against our O line worries me too.
The jets suck. GB will destroy them. Especially with their backs against the 0-2 wall. The Raiders are horrible. A win against the Raiders proves nothing. Don't be worried about the jets.
You should be worried, even about Geno Smith, he is playing very well. They play WCO like we do, he moves around, scrambles, makes all kinds of throws, Mornhinweg is mixing it up, you don't know what's coming. And it's not just the Jets DL but the whole D is great. Jets look to be a season away from being a juggernaut. This should be one of the top games to watch this weekend. How many backups are playing on the OL for GB?
We brought in a guy from the Rams on the scrap heap though. Bulaga might play but Sherrod is awful. He got pushed around bigtime against Seattle. Jets D line is about as good as Seattle's. Lets just say if we lose to the Jets were in a world of hurt. We have to play the Lions after that in Detroit. I don't see us winning there. Really we have a lot of work to do. The Pack looked awful in week one.
Yup, that is a huge concern, hopefully Bulaga is back, you'll need him. I'm a fan of Starks, I think he should carry the ball more, I like him more than Lacy, especially with the depleted OL.
Yeah and the Dolphins had a great D line that day. Wake was in Rodgers face. Kind of reminds me of Sunday. The good news is the Jets secondary is bad but we need time to throw it as well.
The Jets also have been known to shut down good qbs like Brady, Brees last year for example. Hope Milner isn't back for them so Rodgers can exploit their secondary easier.
Yes but in place of Preston Brown. Not in place of Rivers. Preston Brown was a liability last week and will take Keith Rivers spot now. Hopefully he plays better.
If I were the Bills D line coach I would have them stunt. A lot. Maybe get our line mixed up and pick up a cheap sack/hit/pressure or two.
I broke down and got NFL rewind. Watched the Bills game. Bills are a good team. They should be at least 7-9. I hope Tannehill doesn't pull a Culter. It seemed like anytime Culter couldn't find an open receiver he decided to throw an interception.
Alright Phin fans! It's been a pleasure jostling back and forth with some of you. Enjoy the game as I know I will. Its gonna a be a close one in! So grab a few friends, grab a few brews, whip something up on the grill, sit back and enjoy the show! I'll be back win or lose sometime next week to discuss! Good luck!
Unfortunately that means we'll be seeing a good amount of Wheeler at SLB. Hopefully McCain plays and unseats him. Trusnik-Jenkins worked last week so we'll see.
BR Article Miami’s rebuilt offensive line faces biggest challenge to date "Miami’s offensive line received a lot of praise in Week 1 against the New England Patriots, but they weren’t quite the dominant unit that the numbers would suggest. Tannehill was only sacked one time in 32 attempts, but the Patriots were also very conservative in putting the pressure on the young QB. When the Patriots did perform stunts or send pressure, they often had success getting Tannehill off the spot and forcing errant throws." "Another element to last week’s matchup that worked in favor of the Dolphins is that the Patriots rarely put stress on the weak link in the unit—which is the two guards. Much of the pressure came directly up the middle and against the two bookends, Ja’Wuan James and Branden Albert.James is an outstanding rookie who looks like a future Pro Bowler, and Albert was their big free-agent acquisition this offseason. Both of those roster moves seem to be paying off early, and they looked excellent winning one-on-one matchups all day long." "NFL.com's Jeff Darlington wrote an article that explains how the Dolphins' new tackle Branden Albert issued an apology to Ryan Tannehill in the second quarter of Week 1 and told him, "We need to keep you cleaner. We need to do a better job." This, more than anything, could be the symbolic difference in mentality between 2013 and now."
I didn't think the Bills looked all that impressive against the Bears. The Bears looked like the better team. At the end of regulation the bears had out gained the bills almost 2 to 1 in yards. Bears had over 400 yards, bills had under 300. Bills fans talk like they're better than miami at every position minus te and qb yet miami defense is better overall and their passing offense is much better.
I'm nervous about our d. We have a ton of talent on our dline. But Scwartz d seems to sacrafice pass rush at the expense of stopping the run. You guys will have the opportunity to throw the ball. I don't like our secondary. To me the game is a coin flip, that's what makes these games so fun. Whoever executes their gameplan better will win.
Here's a great match-up to exploit: http://www.nfl.com/videos/miami-dolphins/0ap3000000392791/NFL-NOW-Cameron-Wake-vs-Seantrel-Henderson
Lets see. James has been very good. Hopefully he gets a little help. Kyle Willams is actually their DLimeman who worries me most. He assaulted Tanne last year. He also will often go against our interior guys, who looked pretty good, but still the most suspect part of the OL. Gotta' stop that boy.
I'm really excited to see what James can do against Mario and I expect him to be lined up over James most of the game as opposed to over Albert.
The thing with Mario, is even Clabo held him in check until the very end of game one last season, when he of course ended the game for them. I'm optomistic that James will do better, and also that he'll get help. TE's on that side, and Moreno is a much better blocker than last year's backs.
Yeah, we haven't gotten to see it yet but Moreno is a solid blocker who has seen it all. I look forward to him picking up a blitzer and sticking his helmet under their chin.
Phin fans, I wanted to say thanks for this week. It was fun going back and forth with all of you, even though some just pushed us aside like a red headed step child, most of you were great posters with well thought out posts. This was a game where the Bills were riding high on the emotions of the preceding week. I didn't expect the dominating victory for us, but it was not that big of a stretch given all the circumstances. Being a Bills fan, I know heart break, I know the pain of being beat by a team I had perceived as an "easy win" as some of you had deemed this game. However, just take a step back and see this is just one game. You're 1-1, only a game out of 1st and I still believe its going to be the Phins and Bills duking it out in the end for the division. Good luck to you guys, until we meet again.
