This just made me sigh. Watch other NFL teams. Every single one of them has issues like the ones you stated. Football isn't about beibg perfect, its about limiting the imperfections.

    Agree about Matthews though.

The Patriots are going to be just fine. I really think most here are underestimating what the heat and humidity did to New England. They were beating us soundly until the second half when they clearly lost energy. I'll get excited if we can go up to Buffalo and run the ball, and get to E.J.

Yes, i don't whatch many other NFL games because watching the Dolphins is a pretty big drain. The ups and downs with this team are unreal. But I do watch every game and I re watch many plays twice, mostly the ones where there were imperfections.

I put those comments as extreme negatives and it's my hope that they strive for perfection. If their mental attitude in every game is the same as what it was in the second half, I see this team reaching the playoffs. It's about the mental attitude, then add to that as Alex said, limiting the imperfections that gets a team from playoff status to elite status.

Totally disagree here. If we go for it and fail its a momemtum changer that favors N.E. Going up by 13 with the amount of time left was huge. Needing two T.D.`s as opposed to a field goal and one T.D., night and day in that situation .

Your passing attack is atrocious. You won't be able to run the ball like you did yesterday every game and so Moreno won't be able to save you. Hell, you won't even run the ball like that against us again. Switching to a 3-4 was an absolutely horrendous decision which will hopefully get rectified sooner rather than later. Playing Vellano was also a huge mistake as well. The guy is atrocious and did us no favors in stopping the run.

You also won't get to the QB like you did yesterday against Olines that are better. Using numerous different combinations and rotations really prevented our Oline from gelling and caused a ton of confusion.

The Dolphins have been top 10 in sacks for the past 7 seasons or so, I have no idea what makes you think that's going to change.

That was not a dropped potential TD pass. He was looking for the ball after it popped up into the air. That he found it too late to adjust and make what would have been a great catch does not constitute a drop. The crossing route you claim he dropped, haven't found that one either.
PFF had Wallace with zero drops yesterday, so I guess I'm seeing things similar to them on this part of the game.

No, because we are on our way to the playoffs just as we are every year. One loss is not big deal. We lost in Miami last season and still made it to the AFCCG - with a less talented team.

Won't make the playoffs being in last place of the division.

Ya but that less-talented team didn't get completely OWNED and dominated like this more-talented one did...except, of course, in that same AFCCG, that they proved they didn't belong nowhere near.

2-7 in the last 9 against the Pats. You've learned how to lose. It may take longer to learn how to win.

0-1. Stop living in the past. We learned yesterday how to win. Most teams that get 3 turnovers don't get their *** kicked.

We got owned in one half. We always have stinkers. Every single year. Even during the SB years. 31-0 at Buffalo in the season opener ring a bell?

I was pissed the D allowed that conversion but I also thought that block in the back at the point of attack was blatant. Arguably as blatant as the PIs that weren't called on the Pats and more blatant than that hit to RT's head that the ref watching RT missed and was fortunately corrected by the line ref.

As I said earlier to another poster, you're 100% right. How often do you have the Super Bowl favored, hated division rivals on the ropes though? That's why I would have gone for it, because making that last TD would have been a statement that the league couldn't ignore. That's just me though...and I know it's not the popular opinion.

After 1 game. Let me reiterate - standings after 1 game do not determine who makes the playoffs. Are you a new NFL fan?

For 30+ years, every game in Miami was a 1PM kickoff and the Fins averaged a 6-2 home record. The heat/humidity is an amazing advantage, and it's about time that Miami starts using it again.

I wonder what their excuse will be after they lose to Minnesota. You guys think Moreno tore you a new one? Wait until you see AP.

I believe they said it was the umpire who told the referee there was helmet to helmet contact.

Why would we make excuses? If we lose to Minnesota that will indicate there is reason to worry.

It sounds like you are looking at that situation emotionally and not practically. To force the Pats to need two TDs to win, rather than a TD and FG to tie was HUGE. Any coach worth their salt would have done what Philbin did and take the chip shot FG.

As for making a statement to the league, outscoring the Patriots 23-0 in the 2nd half and winning by 13 is a pretty significant statement in of itself.

How well have the Patriots offense done against the Bengals lately, when Zimmer was their DC? It is going to be a similar defense you're facing next weekend, scheme wise, if not talent wise.

I dont blame Wallace at all for that play. Game action, full speed ...its not as easy as it seems to locate a tipped pass and haul it in. Would`ve been a great recovery but it wasn't his fault , a ball that gets tipped and changes direction is difficult to locate before it hits the ground.

Not too well last year but we played them in Cincinnati early in the year without Gronk. The scheme may be the same, but they are not as talented on D as the Bengals.

Could you imagine if we went for it and failed and then have the Patriots score 10 quick points to tie it ?This place would be calling for Philbins head like a bunch of maniacs.

Because this week it was the "heat and humidity" and the refs not giving you guys every call like in most games. Its just as ridiculous as when we lose in December to teams up north because "the cold and the snow". You prepare for it. Obviously your "genious" of a coach didn't prepare your team for our well-known home field advantage.

Who used those excuses? Certainly not me. We lost because our Oline and Dline played like crap.

Have you found the other supposed drop that Wallace had? He said about the Pats 10 yd line on a crossing route.

In some places they aren't, but in some they are pretty solid. Their DL isn't bad with Joseph and Floyd inside. Barr looks like a good one. They have some good young DBs like Smith and Rhodes. Think their Mike maybe a weak spot. You all playing 3 wide a lot probably means Brinkley, the Mike, comes out, and an extra corner, like Josh Robinson, comes in.

So we got rid of Samson. He knocked around the league and we picked him up for nothing. Did you see him play? He graded out at the top of all our offensive linemen in PFF, especially in run blocking. Much better than either guard. How do you sit him down after Mike Pouncey comes back?

I wouldn't sit Samson if he kept playing like this. Either Pouncey can take over a guard spot, or he can sit on the bench. Wouldn't matter to me one bit. Those boys blocked their as**s of yesterday. You shouldn't mess with the chemistry when things are going good.
